How long does it take to make something like this? And do you use the laser cutter for the brick/grout lines or for just cutting out windows and doors etc

Great channel! New Subscriber here. There is no doubt you did a fantastic job on this tree!!! Your video was very well put together and super easy to follow! You might have answered this question in another video, I will check through your channel (if you already have please reply with the link). Couple questions. First what would you prefer to do differently to get similar results in less time understanding it wont be quite as detailed? Second, would you consider using dry pigments instead of paint and then adding a medium to allow quicker mixing of the colors into large batches of tea leaves?
@lnrmodelsКүн бұрын
@@edtoomuchfun957 this was a video detailing how you could recycle something previously used, but for quicker results you could either use an off the shelf leaf flocking to cover the Seafoam tree structure (defeating the object of the exercise, but being less time consuming) The other way would be to colour the tealeaves with a rattle can application or airbrush and then touching up the overspray on the trunks. As for the pigment in medium, that would certainly be an optimum way of batch colouring. In hindsight I wouldn’t speed the drying process in the oven as that does tend to lessen the strength of the pigment. Hope that helps.

I notice you only add paint to the sponge and no glue. I made a hedge with these sponges yesterday. It's a different style than this, but I will be trying your method as well. I glued 2 pieces of the green part of the sponge together, shaped the top and coated it with fine flocking and it looks like a formal style of hedge.

How long did you leave the sponge in the grinder once you'd added the lighter green paint, to let it dry off? You seemed to sieve it and get the powder residue very easily so I am guessing it had been left a few days??
@lnrmodelsАй бұрын
@@TerryGilroy-k4z this is very heavily edited, so yes it was left a few days. It’s best in the summer when you can leave it out to dry in the sun, or you can put it in the oven on really low, covered with foil so as not to burn it, but optimally let it dry naturally

@lnrmodels2 ай бұрын
@@_RandomPea as always there are multiple ways of doing things- if you’ve not much space, then it’s better to make the bushes first, but in this case I wanted to spread the underbrush (polyfibre) where I wanted it, and then sprinkle the foliage (ground foam) over the top very generously so overspill would add texture to the ground and thus blending it in better. Any overspill onto the road can just be swept up
