I was at this game. My brother played for Penn State 1995-1997 and still had many friends on the team. We’re from Houston so we were excited to be at that game.

Poz was an outstanding Nittany Lion Linebacker....I can really only think of one other Nittany Lion Linebacker who played with the same style, intensity, demeanor, playing sideline to sideline punishing ball carriers and qb and that is Shane Conlan.

I think this was Pearles last gane at MSU. Having moved to Chicago area ln 1980 my sister wentbto Iowa and remember a lot of tought games against Pearles. I know he was not a fan of Penn St joining the Big Ten. I think he thought they were out of place in Big Ten. Either that or did not like having to face Paterno. I think they were good friend's since Pearles was Steelers Defenseive Coordinator in 70s.

MRob did everything possible to ensure the Nittany Lion would go undefeated only to have the refs give it to meatchicken. It was a great season but is should have been an Undefeated regular season. Either way Michael Robinson is one of the finest Nittany Lions of all times.

As I mentioned on the earlier condensed post; The first finish to an undefeated season i got to attend in person after my parents got season tickets at the start of 1978(born in '82). We had 4 seats, but this being an after thanksgiving game, it was just my dad and I and we sold the other 2 seats back when "we need tickets" was a thing. My dad has been through 78, 85, and 86 before and we enjoyed the end of a perfect season for sure. Leaving straight for Potter County after the game, my dad insisted we wait to see Wally Richardson try to lead a drive. He tossed it to Carter, into the endzone, goodnight.

As a Chiefs and Penn State fan it was fun watching him play. Thought he got dogged for the Heisman. Such a shame what happened to him and his metal health.

I never knew this was the same guy. Its a damn shame what they used to do to black QBs. I remember they told the Heisman trophy winner Lamar Jackson to be a running back in the NFL. Hes now a 2 time MVP. From Warren Moon to Anquon Bolden to Deion Sanders. I understand it though.

This game was a lot more competitive than the score indicates. Watching it felt like a stubborn defensive battle decided by two big plays but the scoreboard says blowout.

This was satisfying after 1994, not only was it a blowout, but the final score reflected that as well. 1995 was a year we were so close to greatness. We should have won that Ohio State game, the Wisconsin game too (Northwestern was just a dynamite football team, we still only lost 21-10). This team had a lot of the components of the 1994 team and it showed.

The Colorado hail mary at Michigan messed up a lot. Michigan would have been ranked #2 when PSU played them, Colorado would have been ranked a lot lower than #2 if they lose to Michigan, and Nebraska wouldn't have gotten the credit they did for beating a Colorado team that Michigan had already taken care of.

The only game they lost was Michigan bc coach carr got one second back on the clock at the end of the game. Rob was vince young, cam Newton etc.. 3rd in Heisman that year way ahead of his time. Absolute legend. Most clutch college qb ive seen in my 40 years. I believe he ended that Minnesota safety career on the hit as well

Mike Rob is such a legend. The NFL really saw this and said we've got out lead blocker 🤡the compliment though is that they knew he was a straight up FOOTBALL PLAYER, period. Any position you put him at you knew he was gonna ball hard.

Yeah, I noticed that. Happened almost 20 years ago I guess. I don't know the guy but who knows, he might be a changed man by now. I try not to judge, but I certainly don't advocate for that kind of behavior. Either way, he did take the field for the Nittany Lions and was a part of program history.

You need to look at the blocking and how the PSU line was really setting the edge to make those runs possible. And the blocking on those inside zone plays, and how the line was getting to the next level was just phenomenal.
