I listened to her performance again and again. Each time, my evaluation has made a great impression. I was convinced that it was very suggestive for what I learned about this song. Sir Galway is an exceptional performance, which is a scary thing to refer to, but her performance is full of things to learn and elements I would like to incorporate. I look forward to the release of her video images in the future.

What a thoughtful interpretation! Most recordings were faster, but a fast tempo diminishes the lyricical elements of this beautiful peace. Also, there was no overuse of vibrato. Brava!

This is the version I like best out of all KZbin videos I have seen by far. May I know which flute you used to perform this piece? It sounds very warm and rich.

People who have good technique play at a good tempo. Showoffs with worse technique tend to play it faster. You don't have to advertise your flute skills - and that's why your's is my favourite performance on youtube. Perfect tempo, clear notes. there's nothing wrong to talk about here. And please upload more videos! I'd love to hear you play :)

perfect tempo choice. faster tempos just seem too aggressive in my point of view but this was just right

Thank you for not rushing this piece, as so many aspiring _virtuosi_ do. This was written as a tender and passionate duet, thus the technical fireworks don't need to be exaggerated. I love your interpretation with its lyrical phrasing, dynamic contours and excellent diaphragm support from _forte_ to _pianissimo._ ~🌹asr🌹~

I totally agree. I just listened to a rendition with Sir Galway. I like this one so much better. Galway's piano accompaniment version was technically out of this World but just seemed rushed.

I love this piece, I love the softness - in one rendition they told the story that this was a wedding gift to the composer's ex-lover. So it seems appropriate to play it a bit slower and softer. [EDIT: Rumor says that Chaminade was in love with a flute player at the Paris Conservatoire, however he did not not return these feelings. She composed the concertino in an attempt to win him over, and presented the piece to him at his wedding. However, the attempt failed, and the wedding proceeded. There is little validity to this, however, as Chaminade married a year prior to the piece’s publication. -> Still love the story though ...]

WOW!! Flute playing at its finest. I love how she kisses articulated notes, her shear languid and musical interpretation is absolutely amazing. She reminds of Carol Wincic. Beautiful
