the honda is rated 50% more horses... yet is 20% faster. Thank you for the comparison. I had read Yamaha's were faster per hp.

Used to be able to plane as a child with the dingy and a 6hk, both me and my father actually. But I had no idea this little 2,3hk could do it. I’m thinking the person in the boat might be very light.

The Yamaha also has a compression release to make the pull starting way easier, I will go with Yamaha for the easy start and quieter sound.
