This bug has been in the game since they put layering/sharding in classic, I think end of classic beginning of tbc? I believe it's semi intentional, as no one really cares too much about it and servers are very overpopulated.

Actually the event ends at 4, but the NPC's despawn entirely at 5. Which actually makes it so you can win the event after the pools stop spawning. lol

Great stuff. Im completely new to fighting games, and I got Tekken 8 just because of Reina. Needless to say I get destroyed on the regular now after winning my first few games. I think im starting to understand the fundamentals a bit more by seeing how Reinas in intermediate ranks play.

Eventually you will get to being stuck in green/first orange rank, so just be ready for that. Just know because of yesterday's patch, the full crouch df4 attack I do @0:56 is harder/not possible anymore during strings and the f,f+2 attack I do @3:19 is easier to side step now. Basically f,f+2 shouldn't be used as much (most people don't side step until higher ranks) and any move with an extra 4 attack after it is now more likely be countered by an opponent.

I still kind of mess up with n-key rollover. Yes the n-key rollover solves the problem of being unable to input for example 1+2+3+4 for the Ki charge or for example down forward 3+4. However, there is another problem that both n-key and non n-key keyboards give me. For example, when I do down (down arrow key), 1+2 (I have 1+2 mapped to Tab) for a powercrush, I press the down and Tab at the same time but Tekken 8 reads it in 3 different ways. Possibility 1 it inputs down followed by down & 1+2. Possibility 2 it inputs down & 1+2. Possibility 3 it inputs 1+2 followed by down & 1+2. For possibilities 1 and 2, I get the powercrush I want. For possibility 3, I get a 1+2 move instead of the powercrush I want. The game is reading the key input way too quickly so I have troubling inputting down and Tab at the same time. Its like that for other muliple keys input too but I am just giving an example. I don't know if you understand but if you do you know anyway to alleviate this? Like I feel like I need a keyboard that does a delayed input or response a lot of times. So if I do Tab slightly before down, the keyboard would have like a waiting period before it sends the input to the game. So instead of sending 1+2 (Tab) then down & 1+2 (Tab+down), it will just send the down & 1+2 at the same time when I am holding them both down and Tab at the same time. Like right now I have to press the down slightly before the Tab to get the correct move. If I try to press both Tab and down at the same time, it could read the Tab first and do a 1+2 move instead of the down & 1+2 move. And if I wait too long to press Tab after down, the character goes into crouch of course then does a 1+2. So I would just like to press down and Tab at the same time without having to perfectly synch my left and right hands to do them exactly at the same time. I wish there is a keyboard that does that or even a Windows keyboard properties setting.

With these problems you just need to reformulate a solution that works with your fingers. For example, when I do 1+2 with my right index and middle fingers, I tilt my hand to the left so that they hit at the same time. My ring finger is only used for back and rage art because I know it is slower than the other fingers.

@@MiTEpona Most of the time I get the wrong move when I am hitting action keys (1, 2, 3, 4, 1+2, 3+4, etc) slightly before the direction keys which messes up everything. If I hit the direction keys first, the game is much more forgiving and waits longer for the action key. It helped me a lot when I mapped 1+2 (Tab), 3+4 (Left Shift), 2+3 (P), 1+4 (Left Ctrl), 1+3 (Space) to single buttons as it reduced the amount of multi-key inputs. I specifically selected these bigger buttons so my fingers have less chance of hitting the wrong button. These fighting games are a huge pain in general and require a lot of experimenting with key mappings and how you can use your fingers and two hands at the same time effectively. I am not used to this problem with shooter games or other games. I just hope there is a way the keyboard would wait a bit before sending the input in case I press the 1+2 or 3+4 before the direction key(s). Because I did this test (www.clickspeedtester.com/keyboard-latency-test/) and found out sometimes when I press two keys at the exact same time there is acutally as much 40 miliseconds between my button presses. The game must be accepting some amount of delay in milliseconds but not enough for me sometimes. The game is more forgiving when I hit direction keys before action keys but not the other way around. A keyboard with a slow scan rate might help I don't know. Or might be able to write a powershell script that gives the action keys a longer response time than the direction keys.

@@pfceagle5163 I'm not really sure what to say other than you gotta keep trying it to eventually figure out the feeling. The game is very lenient like you said when it comes to inputting f or b and then an action key, but having to do d+1+2 can definitely be a struggle. For me, I found it easier to play with WASD and numberpad 4512 instead of WASD and UIJK because I used to typing with a number pad for work. Regardless of the equipment used, people have always had a hard time doing electrics, which for Reina one of them is f,n,d+f+2 as for the d+f+2 the down often inputs too early making it input as f,n,d,d+f+2 so don't feel too discouraged about input sequences messing up. What I would recommend is to find the Discord for the character you play and ask for someone with a keyboard or hitbox/leverless setup to record a video of them doing the inputs. You might be able to see something small that they are doing to make it work.

I think i had same problem, for example i want to press 1+2 without mapping it, then the game read the input as 1, 1+2, 2 And i pretty sure i pressed the buttons at the same time, but the game still reads like i explained above

@@drkseer9870 Yeah that's why you want to bind to one button as many of the 1+2, 3+4, 1+3, 2+3, 1+4, 2+4, 1+2+3, etc as possible as needed by your character. Also, you want to get a gaming keyboard with n-key rollover. I found that those two things significantly reduced this problem for me on keyboard.

There are upgrades that significantly boost speed and acceleration, most of which aren't accessible in the demo. As for boosting, I think they did the best they could without copying the "hold forward and then press A to boost" logic that is pretty rewarding in Episode 1.

So first off this game doesn't suck, I'm actually pretty impressed with the game play from a new and small studio. Second, I'm no IP expert, but I'm not sure if the "podracing" theme is really a copyright. At first glance it seems like it would, but what about CS vs. Valorant or DoTA vs. League.

@MiTEpona the difference is you are simulating combat in a military setting. You can't copyright a breach and clear, you can't copyright a hostage situation. The created world of a fiction universe is copyright infringement. You can't make a game for Quidditch without permission from the Harry Potter universe. You can make many nascar games, dirt track games, demolition derby games ect. But having it be a CLEAR rip off of podracing, and even though it's 20+ years old looks almost exactly the same, that's a real issue. In your small clip I saw fucking Sebulbas racer with a red pattern added to it. It's just reskinned. Poorly.

While I do think there are some aspects that are very similar, such as the bottom right of the UI, similar looking vehicles, and a vertical rotation of the vehicle, I think there are twists to make it an inspired game versus a copy. (1) The boost mechanic in episode 1 is used as a means to go fast on a near straightaway, while in this game its utilized as resource management. (2) The combat is different than just pasting Battle for Naboo into a racing game (3) The 3 maps I've seen don't copy the same repeated layout formulas that Episode 1 uses in its maps.
