ANYONE who has ridden long enough, KNOWS that Forward Controls on a motorcycle provide the worst possible riding experience. Many things contribute to this.. having to lean forward from your hips to reach the handlebars because your legs are stretched out in front of you.. not having the natural 'suspension' that your legs provide by having your legs underneath you on the foot controls.. any harsh bumps are transmitted right to your lower spine (absolutely brutal),.. having your legs beneath you also contributes to a better center-of-gravity, which means better Control, especially in critical situations. When HD figures this out, then, perhaps I will consider owning this motorcycle. Do you want to think you look cool, or do you want a better ride and a much safer riding experience?!? P.S. It also NEEDS dual front discs (need to be able to slow down/stop that 117)!

Not true. I've been riding for over fifty years and @ 6'2" I find that without forward controls the floorboards cramp my legs. All bikes are designed for riders @ 5'8-10" so your argument makes sense. For me it doesn't tho.--

I'm 6"2 and the 2023+ models are comfortable. Stopping power is more than adequate. My other bike is a 2023 1290 super adventure S.

Now, that's a sexy lookin' car. My brother in-law has one of these, but he hasn't done anything with it since the 70s. He's getting close to retirement & has always said that he's got plans for it. We'll see. I'll show him this. Maybe it'll spark a fire under his ass. 😂 Thanks for this post.
