Too high up to care. The only good stuff, and only for us paddlers, is the stationary over 6MF, as if it's a "Battleship" pegboard. Too abstract and not immediate. This is like seeing drone missiles killing someone somewhere, in Infrared spectrum. Height and the resolution are impressivve. But, still very sterile and abstract. Will share with kenduskeagstreamcanoerace.com to see what he thinks. Just saying, as a KSCR 27 year veteran.

+Christopher D'Amico I agree it was too high up. The problem at the start was the wind and I didn't want to get down closer to the stream because of it being so tight. At 6 Mile Falls the wind was also a factor as well as a friend of mine with his drone who was shooting footage for someone so I didn't want to be in his line of sight. I'm hoping next year will be different with the wind and possibly a different drone with a longer lens.

+delmonaco03 Completely understand. I did see the other drone in your camera view. Awesome to see such a steady 'eye in the sky' view on the stream and the canoes and the obstacles. WHACKO! I was a 'squatters-rights' for a friend for an hour to get the 'top of the rock' perch photographer set up just below The Washing Machine and he's showing his work at his 'kenduskeagstreamcanoerace.com website, over many years now. So, he shares all the photographers' efforts for the KSCR community and I encourage you to contact him about adding your efforts. One of the three photographers there on 4/16/16 also had a four rotor drone with camera and we talked about the winds and acceptable 'gustiness' for lofting them. He wound up flying for only 15 minutes, and that was below the treeline at Valley Ave Park, just upstream of the Harlow Street bridge over the K. So, drone photography within 60 feet of the action is something groundbased cannot overlap and your 'high in the sky' drone efforts don't overlap with the lower drone work. Please continue to share what you get. It will only wind up scaring the crap out of us mere mortals who dare offer up our UNvirgin souls to the River Gods to induce Spring in Bangor, Maine, each year!

Unlike the opening title, it was shot in 2015, not 2014. This is why I need to drink more coffee.
