@@wALL-TERRAIN Thanks! We are getting ready to trail ride! We live in Dearborn Heights Michigan so we are looking for places to ride. Also how did you mount the millwake box to your rack and the gas cans? My quad drinks gas and I am gonna need them
@wALL-TERRAINАй бұрын
For the Milwaukee packout boxes, there is a company called JDS customs that makes a base plate that bolts on to Can-Am racks. Im not sure if they make them for other machines or not. www.jdscustoms.com As far as the rotopax gas cans go, I welded an aluminum mount/rack that connects with the factory Can-Am Linq holes in the front rack. Thats a fully custom setup that I did for our machines. I can remove both of our front mounted gas cans and racks in less than a minute, allowing us to use other linq accessories or carry our 7 gal water cans so we can refill for our camp shower.

@wALL-TERRAINАй бұрын
@@richardhawke6946 the awning is a separate purchase, available on Joolca's website. I am glad you mentioned that because I completely forgot about another flaw that we dislike. The awning comes with the two poles and even has a grommet for the 3rd in the center. When it rains the awning becomes a gigantic rain catch because it is basically flat with only the two poles. We do believe that we have our own solution for this. However we believe this is one spot where Joolca fell short.
@richardhawke6946Ай бұрын
Thanks. I do a lot of camping and fully understand about the rain issue. I am pretty good at figuring out solutions for issues if you can raise the center grommet high enough it might help. Another way that might help even more would be to use a taller pole on the center grommet with a guy line pulling away from the front of the tent to tighten it up and let the water run off.
@wALL-TERRAINАй бұрын

Very cool setup! 🤘 I would have liked to have seen the packed down volume. Does everything fit in the blue sink bin except for propane and water? Did you go with 4 jugs vs 1 or 2 larger volume for packability and versatility? Cheers! 🍺
@wALL-TERRAINАй бұрын
@@lateralus1972 yes with the nomad kit, everything fits in the sink. The additional hoses(which are a separate purchase)to reach the 100 ft total max pump distance do not fit in the sink, along with the extra garden hose setup, we keep in a separate tote. As far as the 7 gallon containers go, they were an easy purchase for us from our local Walmart, and when filled they each weigh approximately 58lbs each. We wanted enough water volume that we could both have a decently long shower without having to refill in between. Carrying two of those containers full for much of a distance is not fun lol. I wanted my wife to be able to handle one jug if she needed to, but it is still a struggle for her, she is pretty short compared to me. That size of container just seems to work overall the best for our personal setup.

@@MatTeo.off-road sorry, there is no right on a 50" trail. We were both in the center of the 50" trail, which is exactly where both of us should be. Also, this is a steeply banked turn(as most are) in loose sand. As I braked and came to a stop, I actually slid down the bank. It appears to be wider on video than it actually is because of the slope.

Great video but music is terrible. Lol. What's the mileage and time frame of both videos?
@wALL-TERRAIN2 ай бұрын
I appreciate the feedback. I choose music based on what I believe most viewers will tolerate, not my personal music preferences. I listen to heavy rock/metal while riding. As fas as milage goes, I normally don't keep track of miles rode in a day, I'm more concerned with fuel consumption. If enough viewers would like me to, then I will start keeping track of milage. The time frame that you see in the videos is as close to real riding time as I can show. I only edit out when I stop to wait on other riders and when we stop to take breaks (In these videos). Our complete ride was from the Leota trailhead to the Denton Creek trailhead on Waco Rd. After we left the Denton Creek trailhead we then proceeded up to Prudenville for fuel. Once we refueled, we had a discussion and decided we needed to head back to Leota to finish packing up. The total time frame round trip was 10:30am-5:15pm(approximately)
