During homelessness & in a hostel in bristol i voluntereed for St. Mungo's & went from strength to strength both personally & within the charity. Id ended up at the point of co facillirating groups & speaking up for those who couldnt, to those who listened ( eg care/drug,alcohol/homeless ppl working wth above ppl. What are calked professionals) i tried getting it back, but i lost that volunteer place bc of lockdown & bc it never went back to how it was. Id many ideas for groups to run, & once i found my voice i found confidence. Something id never had in myself..bc of my past. Lived axperience was my knowledge base. I feel many have lost out bc of how mungo's has changed. As for me, i never got replaced as high up as id worked. Its gutting. My life took another 'knock' due to this loss. Im looking for vol work again.& a chance to voice ideas & be taken seriously. Ta for reading 👍
