Papa San was lyrically great from 13 to 14 years old. He has been spitting lyrics from his time on Stereophonic from General Echo died he was the DJ along with Dango and Donavan who was one of the 1st djs to do the fast style. This is around 1979/1980 Papa San then left Stereophonic and chatted for Lèes Unlimited there are tapes with Papa San from those times . I heard a tape with San dissing the great Buro Banton these tapes are hard to locate but are in circulation. Wont lie as an ex British dj from the 80s I was very influenced by the Jamaican djs specifically the intellectual ones him and Stitchie were formidable.
