Except it’s exactly what the lion turtle says. “To bend others spirit, your spirit must be unbendable”. He becomes stubborn and chooses his own root to solve his problems, on his own. Even when energy bending, he needs the avatar state to surpass ozai, so he still needed his past lives

You must not give into despair. Allow yourself to slip down that road, and you surrender yourself to your lowest instincts. In the darkest of times, hope is something you give yourself. That is the meaning of inner strength.

I honestly think it makes the series better, because they don’t have a buzz word to rely on which makes the dialect more interesting. Also I know that it’s not used in the story, but not having the language to express tragedy is very real whether it comes from lack of words on not being allowed, like languages without a word for being gay or states censoring tragic events.

I think the atlab team put so much effort into making the story feel heavy and tbh the "don't say kill" rule made it that much better cause it felt like children having to decide the fate of the world, which it was

Feel free to say it blew. Cause it absolutely did. 1st season started slow then showed promise. 2nd season decided to do literally nothing for entire episodes.

See, i felt engaged. The plot to kill the heir, the battle and loss of the dragons. Even the bringing in of the dragon riders all felt momentous to me. It just felt like it led to nothing

I feel like it’s a testament to patriarchy she is as much a villain as a victim. All women in powerful positions, feel isolated. They feel as though they are seen as the biggest bitch in the room at all times, but I also think it’s a testament to ambition and quality of leadership that cannot be taught. Men are privileged in that they can have zero ambition be a servant and an inspiration and in becoming those things they are offered leadership roles and bestowed power. Women who serve are invisible. Women who inspire do not serve others. women who are ambitious lose an opportunity to be respected because in their success they are seen as undeserving. women can never truly inspire others to follow her because they can never be truly seen as worthy of power. It is quite tragic actually.

ATLA was a masterpiece. As a kid you watched it for the cool powers and the action. As adult you see the many underlying issues the show addresses but with enough caution so that it fits. I love the Show, especially the Character of Zuko

Well done, I always loved Bernie and Bernards sub plot (though Tales of the Black Freighter kinda annoyed me). I love how Bernard learning that the world will probably end makes him choose to be a nicer person, it changes him until the end where his final act is one of sacrifice. Nobody talks about these two but they’re a highlight of the comic

Putting inspiring music under your videos doesnt make it smarter. A series is there to entertain. There are bad and good villains. The concept of legends of kora could have been more interesting than last airbender, but it wasnt. And the villains werent either. The most interesting villain in Kora is on the same level as sparky boom man. Just a strong powerful person who tries to go up against the main cast for some dumb money or power reason
