It would be great if you could put the lights on in your next Video. This one is too dark to have a look at the details

Hi can you do one on how to connect laptop and how to update the firmware on mixer and cdjs
@sydneykhutso98297 жыл бұрын
does the mixer has echo effect?
@wtfitslmiz7 жыл бұрын
no, this mixer did not have it. that's how pioneer gets you - available effects for different pieces of equipment.

Agreed. Should have done it in a better environment and probably in more than 1 take!

You must have saved a fuck load of dollar to afford that set up, especially 2 months into your ''experience''

shoot me a private message if you need anything. i got a new set.

Theoretically you don't need software since they are standalone. Rekordbox works.

You really should(: I've learned from part 1&2 and started mixing actually, but not with equipment, just the free version of Virtual DJ on my computer): It'd be cool if you could check it out and give some advice? Oh, and you said you wanted good equipment for the bid DJ's coming to the Dallas area?:O Were you talking about Lights All Night?

I appreciate this a lot. I think I just might :)

Really haven't had any time over the last few months. However, I'm pleased with the responses I've been getting so I'm thinking about posting again :)

It's quick to pick up if you are good with technology, have at least a little bit of music background, etc. However, watching tutorials like these is what helped me to excel quickly. I'd go with a Traktor or Pioneer controller.
@wtfitslmiz11 жыл бұрын
I'd go with the Numark. If you can drop a bit more I'd go with the Traktor S2/S4 or Pioneer DDJ-SX

Dude, you need to make more tutorials! I've watched a lot of Djing tutorials on KZbin and I have to admit that you're for sure one of the best I've seen so far. Clear and detailed explanations, and a nice clean mix! Keep it up man!

@mustanggtxps3 I got into djing a fee weeks ago and a cheap good controller is the numark mixtrack pro or the new mixtrack pro 2, I think they are the best controllers for their priceclass!:)

Hey iv never djed before and im looking to get into it can you recommend a good deck and controller that i can get on a budget and the most important question is, is it easy to pick up
@devidia12 жыл бұрын
i'm guessing that tutorial isn't going up any day now?
@wtfitslmiz12 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I will put out another video soon with different equipment :)
@wtfitslmiz12 жыл бұрын
These were about $2k USD. I'd go with a controller and save at least 50%.
@wtfitslmiz12 жыл бұрын
This is the guy who made the video. I agree with you. At this point these are a complete waste. Solid set, though.
@wtfitslmiz12 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can. There is a USB slot on each CDJ and a USB slot in the mixer to record. You do not need to use Rekordbox.

Your videos were very informational for begginers (me), I really think you should continue with these videos! I see it's been a year since you've uploaded, even if you don't get a lot of requests you should still upload(: You never know who will watch. +Your 2 videos are better than any other vids I've seen for begginers

Good video man! As a newbie to DJing I bought this setup about a month ago and it is perfect for the beginner. It does some awesome things and I'm still learning more and more by messing around with it. Can't wait to start using it professionally but gonna keep watching learning and watching more videos like this to make sure I know what I'm doing and don't embarrass myself!

The CDJ-350/DJM-350 setup was about $2499 + tax + everything listed above. Pioneers, as well as other high end brands such as Denon, Allen & Heath, etc, are going to be nearly as expensive. If you're looking to save, controllers are really not a bad option, especially for learning.
@wtfitslmiz12 жыл бұрын
The CDJ-2000's are $1899 retail a piece. The DJM-2000 is $2499. You will need a good pair of headphones and some LIVE sound at minimum if you are planning on setting everything up yourself. The setup you see here is as follows - CDJ-2000 x2, $3798 + tax, DJM-2000, $2499 + tax, KRK 6" Monitors - $400 + tax, audio cables, $50+ tax, HDJ-2000 Headphones, $350+ tax. This is an expensive setup, and that does not include large LIVE sound monitors/subwoofer to play to the audience.
@wtfitslmiz12 жыл бұрын
the hardware, the CDJ's/Mixer, ARE the computer. if you computer dies, you can run music solely off a USB stick, CD or SD card without the use of an external program hosted on a computer.
@wtfitslmiz12 жыл бұрын
...and moreover, the actual mixing is being done on the mixer itself. the hardware is doing 100% of the work aside from the fact that the digital media is coming from an outside source.
@wtfitslmiz12 жыл бұрын
conversely, the decks and physical mixer setup is more about accuracy and sound quality. more importantly, a computer is not required. you sometimes see a laptop with decks/mixer because there are external programs that let you either stream music directly from your computer, organize playlists, taglists, etc. check out pioneer rekordbox software. also, importantly, the data transfer rate for this setup is MUCH quicker. LAN cables with higher bandwidth are used...
@wtfitslmiz12 жыл бұрын
no matter if you are using a usb stick, cd or playing directly off your laptop, the computer program is what helps to organize, play and ultimate the mix the music. the controller acts as the external sound card and final mixer.
