Astounding. I normally hate fan themes to the point of not even clicking, but from what I understand about this holder of the Life Steal drive, I thought I'd click to see if you had even an inkling of comprehension of this character's personality. I am blown the fuck away. It almost sounds like "human izanami". I feel llke the vibe you captured was absolutely "other timeline Izanami". Great job my boy

I know this video is old but I was really fascinated by how smooth it looks, also can I ask you a question, can original fight animations be made in mmd? I always thought it only served to make the characters dance.
@Kiku-Ichimonji8 ай бұрын
Thanks a lot! The same animation principles used in more modern animation programs can be used in MMD, but you may have to make workarounds to get passed some of the limitations it has as you get better at animating. There are many MMD fights that you can find on KZbin by more skilled animators that really show how far MMD can be pushed. I'd recommend checking them out. ^^

I have somewhat of a request to make for a BlazBlue theme. It's basically a "what if" scenario about what would happen if Saya became the Grim Reaper instead of Ragna. I feel like "Rage so Red" would be a good name for the theme, too.

The choreography for this goes so fucking hard, and it actually flows SO goddamn well. Just needs a bit more impact and control of weight, and it's perfect. I'm keeping an eye on you for future animations if you make anymore!

I dont know if you still are active but, do you plan to make blazblue inspired themes for perhaps melty blood? I just love how you interpret the themes for the characters. Especially the ones you made on your own for the characters that appear in crosstag.

Your animation is so good! What are your tips for getting the timings down for the animation? How did you make every attack 'chain' so good one after the other? 🤩
@Kiku-Ichimonji Жыл бұрын
Timing is something that I just have a feel for, or adjust as necessary. I'm not sure how to explain this, sorry. As for chaining attacks, applying the animation principles of Follow Through, Easing, and Overlapping Action has worked best for me when transitioning from one pose to another. I'd recommend learning these three before anything else. Because MMD doesn't have a normal graph editor, I apply those principles while animating sometimes every frame for each bone within the pose transition. It's very important to make sure the flow of each bone's animation is moving correctly and smoothly in every direction. I'm still learning myself and experimenting at the time of this comment in a practice fight project. Animating is quite hard, but it's fun. Hope this helps! ^^

agh this is so impressive!! may I know what extra bones you added? did you add anything else other than IK bones on the arms?
@Kiku-Ichimonji Жыл бұрын
I didn't use IK arm bones here, but I've added them for my next upcoming fight animation. In this fight animation, I had added extra spine, head, hip, center of gravity, and feet bones to give the animation a smoother look and feel. It's easier to animate with multiple bones for each joint because of the fact that MMD lacks a real animation graph editor. Hope this helps! ^^
@R3yn4_ Жыл бұрын
@@Kiku-Ichimonji oh thats impressive!! is there a tutorial you followed to add those extra bones?? I've been trying to look for tutorials on how to do it but so far I only so IK arm tutorials
@Kiku-Ichimonji Жыл бұрын
@@R3yn4_ I learned how to add the bones myself after playing around in pmx editor. You click the bone you want to duplicate and right-click "Add Here" in the pmx bone tab. After that, you place the bone where you want and reassign the bone parent order. You should now have two bones that mimic the same movement, allowing you to overlap the animation, interpolate different directions, etc. Extremely useful for MMD.

Hello! Could you tell me some effects and tips to animate more fluidly?
@Kiku-Ichimonji Жыл бұрын
Applying the animation principles of Drag and Overlapping Action is what I do for fluidity. Ease-in/Ease-out afterward for smoothness. I try to prioritize those three principles. Recently, I've added in the principle of Arcs as well, as this seems to also give the animation a more fluid feel because of the different directions possibly being overlapped. I'd research the first three before anything else, though. I also use a frame-by-frame approach to animating bones after the initial posing. I use this when I need more control over how the animation will turn out. Hope this helps!
