I've used the mini whiteboard for many years. It's fun and quick for some quick check. But what I do is put an A4 in clear plastic sleeve and then get the students to wrote on them with a board marker. I usually wipe it off after class to keep it longer. It's loads cheaper and is easier to store.

As you are the native speaker of English, I have a question for you. Can we use "fire of anger" to mean angriness? Thanks

You can use fire as a simile, for example, his anger burned through him like a fire.

PLICKERS is even easier than the whiteboard---takes less time, a lot faster and you don't even need to spend money on the whiteboards if your school is in dire straits. BUT, I am in LOVE with the colored cups! Brilliant!

I think the coloured cups is nothing more than a new version of holding up your hand to get the teachers attention. And it was clear that the red cups can be used by students to just upset the order in class when they are feeling unmotivated or if they have decided they either don’t like the subject, or if they dislike the teacher for any reason. As such it can be used as a tool for bullying. Not good. While the mini white boards could be a good tool, in the video it was still used in a very traditional static teaching style - where the teacher broadcast a question everyone had to write down the answer to. There was no room for discussion and no means to ask questions. I think there must be better ways to utilise these tools to engage the students more. Personally I favour a flipped classroom style, where students have clear targets they need to work against and they do so together. Many of the students can get help understanding what they are supposed to do and how to do it by discussing with their groups rather than the teacher having to go around and help 10 different students individually to understand the same task. The traditional way is very time- and resource-ineffective I think.

You really don't get it. As soon as somebody identifies their level of understanding, the teacher can act upon this, to make learning happen.

Hi Tim, I would have to implement translated versions of the subtitles on the video. For this I would require your support in uploading the translated subtitle files on KZbin which would allow viewers to make a selection which language version is displayed. This would not require much of your time but would add significant value to your video, due to its increased reach. All translations would of course be entirely covered by me. could you kindly help me with this? I tried to write you a personal message but didn't manage...
