I remember watching this cartoon in 2002 (here in Argentina it was premiered a few months after it was in the US), I watched it twice: a friday around 8pm during Cartoon Cartoons and then I re-watched it the saturday repetition (next day) at 12am while eating a pizza! Good old days. I do think Utica really deserved to have it's own show.

is there a possible way to get this picked up by a different studio? i understand how tacky the animation industry is and how difficult the process would be but really i would kill to see an entire series released based on this, the style is so appealing, the dialogue is humorous and i just love the idea of 4 animals being roomates while the rest of the city are just humans, gives it the special early 2000s feeling, i LOVE all the work the animators, voice actors and writers put in!

I'm so glad I found this! I still consider it the funniest cartoon episode I ever saw. The 'You'll have to down these' and 'the turtle head sticking out of the bear costume when it turns around' parts continue to live rent free in my head. I'm still upset that this didn't win The Big Pick. (For reference, the Las Pelotas! episode of "2 Stupid Dogs" is my other favorite cartoon.)

Utica Cartoon is awesome! I remember when it aired on Cartoon Network in 2001.

I remember watching this back when I was a tiny lad and thinking it was funny, although I don't think I understood all of it back then. The guess who spoof and the bit with Marty thinking the quarter is chocalate stuck with me the most as a kid.
