1:57 Must respect Andy Fletcher pulling off the "Sprockets" attire, as one could ponder 🤔if this look is where Mike Myers got his inspiration for the classic Saturday Night Live (SNL) Character of "Dieter", as Sprockets did not hit the screen on SNL until spring of 1989? "Now is the time on Sprockets when we dance!" 🕺🏻💃🏻

When somebody is stoned/drunk all the time, normal ppl cannot go along with them at all. This way I was set apart from my brother. So I fully understand Alan's departure. Scary stuff. You grow together, then you cannot be siblings anymore. Shit to alcohol/drugs. I use alcohol but never drugs. Fine. BTW. My brother is superintelligent dude. Assembler programmib from early 80's no shortcuts. We both suffering but I have a family life, while he is living with mother 80YO and father 78YO who are paying his bills. In the meantime he fooled good girll who fell in love with him for some 100k$. Jesus, please help him cause I am not abale to do so. I have started from LVL -10 comparing to him and now I am an owner of 2 penthouses, one flat and home. I just have turned 50 today, receiving from him onlu kinda sticker on whatsapp. My father showing up here tomorrow for celebrations, my mother did not call or reach ot at all as she all life long kept his side. And I am almost blind on left eye. Signed by pro mechanical offshore engineer - winches/aframes/miracles :)

I was a metal head/hard rock fan as a youngster in the early 90's and up but did like DM's stuff from 90-97 their last real album I think was "Ultra" and all the rest after this was weak and not the same what you hear now burned out and time to hang it up. My first time seeing DM live was the Exciter Tour 2001 in L.A., Staples Center second night 8/15/01. I got lucky and scored two floor seat tickets 4 rows back from center stage. Didn't like the new album but knew that they would play the old bangers so I wanted to go and it was something else, they tore it up, the show rocked and the ladies in the crowd were gorgeous and nearly were jumping to orgasms. I then attended the L.A. DM Convention in 2002 with friends at the Hollywood Palace and as we were in the front lobby KROQ's host of the night Richard Blade walked right in past us and greeted us as he was running a little late for the convention and needed to take the stage to get the night on. Besides the dance floor, bar, and stage activities that took place through the night there were many merchant stands that were selling DM memorabilia clothing, posters, CD's/Vinyl from all the years. Most of the audio recordings and vhs tapes of their tours they had for sale there back then can all be found now on here and elsewhere online dime a dozen. In between the DJ playing their music and the contests that took place on the stage there were segments where the DJ which looked allot like "Daniel Miller" of the record company would play rare interviews, videos of the band on the big screen on the stage. They did show and I remember seeing two songs played in full from the World Violation Tour and it showed the date in the lower left had corner in the video 8/5/90 Dodger Stadium Los Angeles. They showed the performance of "Everything Counts" which looked like the exact pro-shot that the stadium crew recorded, it started out looking at the crowd in the stadium stands above then changed to one cam right in front center stage wasn't "multi cam" looked like this at 7:10 was played in full till the end of the song where you hear the crowd singing the chorus of Everything Counts as it fades away into the next song but then it ended. Later on during the night they showed in full "Behind the Wheel/Route 66" and it was the same center stage view and then it changed for "Route 66" to this view from right side of the stage at 31:32 you could only see Dave dancing in and out of the view until the song ended then it showed the crowd and the goodbyes. So both nights at Dodger Stadium do exists on VHS, they were both recorded by the stadium crew from all angles of the stage and were just put together to make the multi cam version you see for the 8/4/90 video that exists here. Both nights would have soundboard audio, the stadium crew would record the gigs to project it to the projection screens for the crowd to view who were way up in the stands around the stadium most stadium concerts would do this back then and still do it now. If anyone reading this attended this same convention in 2002 then you would know what I am talking about and that it is true possibly proof that these recordings do exist. I attempted to speak with the DJ about the video footage that was shown that night while on the floor but was not successful so I guess it's mystery for good until the band themselves or who ever has the VHS tapes of these shows at Dodger Stadium decide to come clean and release them. 😆🤘

I got to see this tour live in person in December 1987. One of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. The energy in this video is just 1% of the energy experienced by seeing it in person.

For example, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin, the fans can’t go, “Oh, what’s Jimmy Page doing, let’s go back to Robert Plant.” That just doesn’t exist with Depeche. You’ve got Dave to look at. That’s why the films and the projections happened. They realised we needed to add something to this. May, Kevin; McElroy, David.
