there is no reason to go to PG. The place is a hole. Even in its heyday, the 60's 70's, none of the residents or govt put much money into the place, and it shows now. People either spent all their money in the bars, or on pickups or if they were smart, they banked there money and moved somewhere civilized when they retired. This is rather common for most small and mid sized cities esp in the north. The housing and infrastructure are could be described as decrepit or subpar. at best

I lived in Hixon just a short drive from Prince George in the early 80,s. There were tons of very good paying jobs back then and PG was always hopping at night on the weekends . Have not been back there since 1988 ..

In this video, did you purchase two separate tours: Secret Itinerary and also Doge's Palace tour? We want to see the prison cells and the armory and wonder if we need to buy additional entry tickets for Dodge's Palace.

Cities in general are becoming places to avoid, none is exempt from bad neighborhoods, the ones that tourists don't visit, e.g. Marseille's northern districts and the northern suburbs of Paris. Saying this as a former city dweller now a "refugee" in the countryside where crime is almost unheard of...

Rosario, second city in Argentina both by inhabitants and by GDP, is the only "European" metropolis not only in Argentina but in the entire continent along with Buenos Aires/La Plata (also Montevideo and Quebec in Canada), regarding the images in this vid, it turns out to look for few black spots ignoring the majestic architecture of the city (if I wanna find black spots in European metropolises I can find hundreds of them, but those cities don't lose their splendor), for those who haven't been to his city, real Rosario here, without editions: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJrJeHuAeMupaNk kzbin.info/www/bejne/raPLmqivqceLr7M kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKSoZ314n9Nng6c kzbin.info/www/bejne/lX-an2WborB4o7c kzbin.info/www/bejne/eoDWgaaHoZ6rias kzbin.info/www/bejne/opW8gWerfNZ9eaM kzbin.info/www/bejne/p3OYZaCteZ6bb6c Rosario's urban beauty is on par with the metropolises of Western Europe

Another amazing adventure. I wish you continued fun and safe travels. But, there's no way you've been in Argentina this whole time, right? I have to assume it's just when you've decided to release these videos. But wow, still, it has to have been a long trip down there. If you can believe it I'm "still getting ready" for my own adventures; getting the money ready. And THEN, France changed some visa stuff, so I had to work around that. Not to mention all the youtube preparations. But I finally have the new "identity," all the ID verifications and just trying to finish my first big video within the month (I am doing this all in an odd way!) But you've been an inspiration and I have to imagine it has been an extensive mix of travel arrangements, research, filming, editing, etc,. so it's much appreciated.

Hi Bob good to hear from you! No, I left Argentina already but I tell you, this country is worth spending at least a year in because there is so much to see, and the sheer size of the country (over 2 million square kilometers of territories, probably the size of western Europe). It looks like you know what's happening next, so that's a good sign itself. All the best and keep me updated 👍

@@SayuRinpoche Haha thanks man. Yeah that new prez and the inflation might delay me going! But it's definitely on my list. I'm very behind on your uploads, but maybe in one or more, you did discuss how your money worked at the time. I'll catch up and see. And I think I did read that they had a very liberal residency process--and so were getting a bunch of people migrating--but if that's the case, stays of more than 3 months should be possible; whereas that's typically the limit in many places.

Great videos of Victoria! I live here, and have stayed at Ocean Island Backpackers Inn when I first got here. I think you were just unlucky with the weather, but usually that room would have been just fine. (Skip the Beavertail, I think that's just a tourist trap thing - a Tim Hortons Timbit instead maybe) Yes, it's very expensive. I would have got the $5 day pass, then you could have got off the bus in Sidney, and caught the next bus so to walk around a bit to see it. When in downtown Victoria, you can take bus 2 through James Bay to fishermans wharf (have your lunch but don't feed the sealions) and walk or take the bus to Ogden Point breakwater, that's wonderful to see. The Sour Pickle Cafe would probably be better for breakfast. Take any bus to Uvic, then take Bus 11 towards Tillicum Mall, getting off anywhere along Gorge road before it turns onto Admirals road - it's nice to see the reversing falls depending on the tide (at Tillicum Road). (Bus 11 also stops at Cadboro Bay a lovely beach) And if it's a double decker bus, sit up at the front and enjoy the views. From Victoria to Vancouver, it's probably better to take the BC Ferries Connector coach bus that goes onto the ferry and goes right to downtown Vancouver - it saves the hassle of transfers. And finally, renting a bicycle and doing the tour from The Pedaler (at Huntington Manor) is worth the money. (Although it might get you over budget).

I live in south of France and I go sometimes to Marseille. It's not dangerous except perhaps in certain districts in the north of the town. The food that you show is not of this region. The typical dishes are made of fish and for exemple the fish soup. You can take a boat in the port and visit an island nearby. The surroundings are interesting with small cities along the sea but it's necessary to have a car

Very well done video, quite professionally done ! Since moving to Vancouver Island I've learned to not " talk it up" as the predominant trend is that too many politicians refuse to stand up for the environment with zoning and bylaw policies which protect communities and the ecosystems they're a part of. We can and should be promoting sustainability in the truest senses of the word , period. I plan on exploring the northern regions of the island i can easily reach and take it in to the fullest.

Nice try on your narrative of how PrGeorge came to be the hub of the north. For near a hundred years the two main rivers( PG is at their confluence) were the trains of supply here in the north. Ferries and cargo boats were the only access here. It is for this reason that we grew into the hub of the north. Trains came MUCH later!! You never even mentioned the Nechako River! It enters the Fraser right where you were standing at the train trestle! You should bone up on its history before doing your" informative" narratives !
