The reason why the dark angels are so suspect about the data is because it could help them for their hunt. Their hunt for fallen dark angels. The dark angels aren’t afraid to cross lines to get to them. Because they fear if people found out about the fallen heretic dark angels then them as a legion are done for.

You see those bolts/studs on their foreheads. Those are called “Service studs” which represent a space marine ‘length/time of service’. Usual rule: 1 Gold studs - 100 years of service 1 Silver studs - 50 years of service and so on. The main character “Titus” has ‘4 Gold’ studs. So he has been fighting as a space marine for ‘400 years’.

In the previous game “Space marine 1” our main character “Titus” has ‘2 Gold stud’ so he was already over 200 years old. Now the main character has returned with ‘2 more gold studs’ so be can estimate another 200 years or more time has passed in the game timeline.

Librarians are space marine pskyers. They use warp powers and usually are in charge of updating their records. Because they're pskyers they're accepted, valued, and respected by most but not really trusted by much of anyone. As Majorkill said however, Nikea happened because Magnus was doing to much and it was starting to cause fights between the legions. They tried telling him to chill and he said no so The Emperor banned pskyer powers from being used by all space marines for the time being.

Technically, commissars aren't part of the chain of command. On rare occasion, they will be given command, but this isn't always the case. They're just there to serve as a deterrent to desertion. Maybe a little weird that a sergeant would talk to him that way, but maybe she just wanted to make sure everyone knew who was in charge and the commissar didn't seem to care.

read everything it's been highly speculated that the custodes are the level of genetic power that the emperor wanted to turn humanity into cause the regular humans can no longer properly survive in a hostile universe now dominated by monsters and no us regulars don't get a choice in the matter cause our free will won't matter when the monsters get us we regulars will be phased out yes but humanity will live on greatly enhanced and since there wasn't much lore on the custodes I guess GW after a penitent crusade for gaslighting us can be given a pass and no I'm not being naive if GW makes FEMALE SPACE MARINES canon then I guess the most logical thing to do is EXCOMMUNICATE TRAITORIS.
