It is not fair that where a person is born determines a big part of their luck at life. Unfortunately, too many say all are created equal but they don't treat them that way. President Nixon said that in order for the US to be great, everyone needs to be good. The world is very tiny. Help your neighbors.

I am actually a refugee fleeing persecution in my country, but there were inhumane statements against refugees. We should not generalize and describe everyone with bad names and descriptions. We are all human beings.

@@Risala2024 I totally agree. Trump is about the worst choice that can be made as our president. If you are in the US or coming to the US, try to get refugee status, get a Student Visa, get a company to get you an H1B visa, or any other kind of visa possible. Our immigration system is absolutely horrible. I wish you the Best of Luck.

I’ve never heard President Trump say anything negative about refugees. Refugees are definitely welcome in the United States. However, if you are referring to illegal immigrants, that’s a different matter. They are not welcome here and that’s one reason that President Trump is president once again., I think there should be a bounty that would be paid to American citizens for reporting people who are here illegally.

If you are here to escape war or persecution you are safe here. What's happening is that people come into the country for economic reasons and then falsely claim refugee status in order to dodge the legal immigration system. Those are the "refugees" Trump is talking about. Obviously these people looking to take advantage of the system hurt those who are actually seeking refuge from war, and hopefully there's some immigration reform to address that - having Congress specifically designate countries (like Ukraine) where refugees can be admitted from would be a good start.
