I generally don't comment on yt videos.... But i was struggling with understanding the recursive call since 3 hours , I stumbled upon this video...and Voila! I tend to understand the visual representations much easier than other methods This video was really great in taking me through process of understanding the call stack without rushing it Such a great content ... Kudos to you for this!

On 2005 and 2006 model CR-V's, the green connector is to the left of the steering column, up inside the dash. The lower panel of the dash, on the driver's side (the panel that has the 1/4 turn knob in it, and then pull that plastic panel straight down to remove it) has to be removed. Then "you" lay on the floor, and look up under the dash, and toward the outer left "wall" area of the body. The OMRON sensor unit is probably already there, and plugged in. There will be a 2nd, longer, bright green, connector plug, probably still tied to the harness with blue tape. That longer plug is for the factory alarm system control module, which was an optional accessory. The OMRON sensors came in 2 FCC codes: OUCG8D-380H-A, which appears to be the standard version for 2002-2004 CR-V's. OUCG8D-380H-B, which appears to be the standard version for the 2005 and 2006 CR-V's, and it's the version that is in the Honda Kit that is used in this video. I don't know if remotes for the "A" FCC code can be paired with a "B" FCC code OMRON sensor, or vise-versa.

@@OCDrip I’m not sure! I’d recommend going into the dash as outlined in the video and see if you can find that taped connector.

Picking parts out of an 06 EX. I wonder if that module would work with the OG FOBs retrofitted to an 04 LX.
@DylanClarkSallee9 ай бұрын
Yeah, probably would. I think there is a part number directly on the module that you could compare - I believe it’s the same for that entire generation of CR-Vs. You’d need to do the re-learning procedure to associate the existing fobs with the new transceiver - I think the instructions are in one of those docs in the description.

What happen when you divide an array? Does it makes two different new arrays everytime with splitting elements? Does it mean we are assigning every splited to a new array?

With the part number listed on the spare parts website, they they show that it's for 2003 to 2004, so will this work on the 2002?

Thanks for the video guide. I installed mine on a 2002 year CR-V LX (the first year for 2nd gen in the US) There was only 1 difference from the video, the plastic dash piece was different, there was no door for the screw, so no place to put your fingers in to pull the storage piece out. To get that piece of plastic out on a 2002 year model, remove the screw. Then on the deepest part of the cubbie hole place your hand in and push up on the top of it, that should dislodge the piece a bit. From there it's wiggling it out and pulling it free, if you still have the rubber mat that goes into that storage hole try using that for some grip. Completely skipped disconnecting the battery and the revving stuff and it worked fine.

This video was a godsend. I have a 2003 LX without keyless, and my lock cylinders were loose so my key only worked in one of my doors, and who knows how long that was going to last before I can't unlock any of the doors with the key. I started to call around to locksmiths who all told me they didn't have the parts to fix it. But then I found this, ordered the part and slapped it in, and a couple of minutes and $100 later I can lock and unlock my car now no problem. And I didn't have make a dozen more phone calls to maybe have a guy come out for a couple hours and charge me a couple hundred dollars!
@DylanClarkSallee3 жыл бұрын
I’m so glad you found it helpful! Funnily enough, that’s exactly why I did it to my car as well - my lock cylinder was all screwed up, and after not much longer I wasn’t going to be able to get in the car!
@williamboyd21243 жыл бұрын
Did this without unhooking the battery (because I couldn't find a wrench for that) and it worked fine right after I plugged it in - didn't do any of that hocus pocus stuff with the window and rpms and whatnot. But YMMV, I suppose.
@DylanClarkSallee3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I think that stuff is just best practice to avoid screwing with the ECM. YMMV - figured I would do it the Honda-recommended way. :)
