I'm Abby and, as the age from a joke during this, now actually exactly 32 😂 Haven't re-watched this in years, if ever entirely though. Henry now has (recently!) written a New York Times bestselling cookbook that is full of some of the best and warmest writing I've read in my life. Proud of that kid!!!❤🥰

...wow. I just realized that I am only 2-years younger now than Leo was when this aired. I loved ZDNet and TechTV in high school. It was such an amazing time to grow up, and I'm grateful for all the great shows we were so fortunate to have. Thanks, Leo!!

"underneath MS-DOS was running it, Windows simply sat on top" - so this is what happens, when a tech guy was in management for too long. this statement was not at all true since at least Windows-95 where MS-DOS was not much more than a bootloader - actually VMM was in charge. (and the statement was partially not true since Windows(2)/386 from 1987, when the VMM was introduced)

I watched this live when it happened. I believe techtv was doing a marathon for the holidays and at this point Chris had been hosting for like 24 hours when he lost it.

I used to watch the same episodes of The Screen Savers twice. Once at night, and then again the following morning. The Screen Savers and Call for Help were always the highlight of my day. Leo Laporte essentially taught me everything I know about computers and thanks to him I'm in the career I am today.

Yep. Serious 2002 vibes. I. ... XP, the invention of the decade. I get that they 'sold a video' for this, but why couldn't it just be a TechTV special. Very odd.

dude these guys phuckin sucked! I watched them when i was like barely 8 years old fascinated by tech, but these made it boring as $hit, depressing and LAAME! Thank god for extended play cuz these guys never solved any ACTUAL pc problems, and when people called in, they always said oh the best way to go is LOWTECH solutions, like bruh ur show is called the screen saver, show some hardware, talk about processor speeds, nope nothin, and i realized all this while in the 3rd grade, yep ur welcome, i hope someone gets mad and tries to start shit cuz im ready for u biches!
