No, don't use the areldite, because when the areldite is dry, it is in hard form so you don't remove your tap. so use of silicon, you can easily replace tap at any time.

Use can use normal silicon no water based, pvc gam, thread liquid or simple gasket gams or seal, anything liquid and will become solid can use to seal the gaps.
