I just finished it. The plot was definitely lagging in seasons 2 and 3 and started to get good in season 4. Why is it that when they started to figure out how to make it good they cancelled? 😭

Entertaining summary, thanks. But from 23.00 i disagree. If backup isn't anymore you, then any stack transfer is not anymore you as well.

So, just watched all three seasons. 7 years after it was cancelled. Why? Because I gave up on SyFy a long time ago. There is no point in ever watching anything on that channel, because it is where good science-fiction goes to die. Cable networks want to know why viewership is down, this is the reason. Why bother investing any time in a show while it's on the air - simply wait until it's cancelled. Anything less than 5 years why bother.

I like that flint got reunited with Thomas. And I’d assume given the nature of the operation it’s a relatively relaxed prison with a lot of extra amenities. And I got the impression that long John silver and flint had a genuine friendship. John really developed and begins to care for the crew after losing his leg. Like it was the first time he’s ever not been disposable. The whole “I’ll stand here with you for an hour, a week, a year until you can accept this outcome.” But above all “do where do we stand on the issue of the fuck tent” is the best line in the whole series.

I think Long John Silver killed Flint. It was a story to bend ppl to his will. Plus if he really let him live he would have made Flint tell him where the treasure was buried. I think Long John Silver came from that prison and that is how he knew to use it in the story of Flint and Thomas.

I mean, it's not too far off from how pirates actually were. Just be glad they didn't fuck cabin boys and goats on the show.

If you saw the movie, why can’t you say “Ty Lafitte?” They tell you how to pronounce it. Was that an attempt at a joke? Thousands upon thousands of KZbinrs and social social media users use that same joke every day. I’ve seen it thousands of times, that makes this even more lame.

I am just going to say this.. as a person who has read the original Treasure Island book and have seen multiple adaptations of it to include Muppet Treasure Island 😀 I wasn’t too happy with how the ending of BSS4 went but overall a very good show to watch.

Yes, the 1st movie was something like we'd never seen before. It didn't have a big car chase scene, it didn't have some huge explosions and it didn't have some serial killer with a mask on. NO, this movie had a great way of telling a story and letting your imagination run wild. Then when you think it's over and you are left scratching your head, wondering if what he said was true or false. You are treated at the end of the truth. I saw a KZbin video of the top 10 most underrated movies of all time. Peace out.

There were probably a lot of people expecting Avenue 5 to be The Expanse or For All Mankind. It's a science fiction show that takes more perspective look at the whole "Commercialism and Consumerism in Space" part of space opera stuff but with a comedy take. That was half of the major theme.

The movie was tainted by him apparently becoming less immortal... I thought that would be the ruiner but then the entire movie was a constant letdown... I would have preferred he met with the author friend and also expected him to be with the girl that went with him from the first movie but he was randomly with some 50 year old woman... I am just disappointed because I watched both back-to-back for the first time in the last 3 hours. I swear Sci-Fi almost always drops the ball and calls it "thought provoking" or simply "mysterious" and I hate it.

I don’t need season 2 explained. I need an apology for season 2. Still waiting. Anthony Macky felt like an entirely different character. Multiple actors played the same characters in the first season and THEY felt like the same character. Season 2 just didn’t feel right … regardless of what was going on with the plot and the weird Poe crap they were doing and the race to make the main character unlikable.

We finally caught this on Netflix. So much hate for this movie, but I think it was mainly because the trailers misled people's expectations. I found the movie quite enjoyable, if a bit uneven in tone. It doesn't really know what it wants to be between straight-up comedy and serious social commentary. That aside, it's still ambitious, and does make you think. The big sci-fi concept is really not the point of the movie at all. I found the main protagonist's very human journey the most interesting thing in the movie - and that's clearly what we were meant to take away from it, judging by the very last scene.
