Love Abraham Hicks, however I am struggling to get on board with this. I have always been and still am sceptical, and abide by the moto that I will believe it when I see it. And I can whole heartedly say that after being on the receiving end of Reiki without believing and it having worked, well it changed my whole life. I became a Reiki practitioner myself fourteen years ago now, and also found a strong natural affiliation with Crystals too. Powerful to the point of having been able to have an emergency well known agonising procedure in hospital without sedation, in a mediative state with my polished Amethyst stone, whilst having a smile on my face all the way through. And doctors have trusted me to use my stone to perform more procedures without anaesthetic from that point onward, in fact the second time I had an audience. I know very well that I am a conduit for the energy from both sources, so there can be no way in my mind that this is somehow some sort of a placebo effect, believe me I tried meditation without the stone at the dentist and regretted that decision immediately. I rarely practice on others, unless asked, I have a rare connective tissue disorder which requires a lot of self healing and became my sole purpose due to my condition being debilitating. However when I do help someone, I always ask their higher self if they wish to accept the healing energy for the greatest good of all when I begin. I have had many experiences with people who did not believe, and have had benefit and believed afterwards. It is my belief that people may have ailments that their higher selves have chosen to go through, so to my mind this is why at times it is not accepted. But there is always a constant and that is that everyone I have met can feel the heat radiating from my hand chakra’s without touching them. I didn’t seek this out, it came to me, no money exchanged hands and every experience I have had has surprised me. I have no expectations, and when working with others I always tell people that ask for my help that they should not have any either. One hugely important aspect of working with energy is to ground yourself. I have been trained to ground myself through meditation, I go into a meditative state when I work with energy, to do this I visualise sending my roots from my root chakra downward and tethering myself around Peridot crystals that are formed deep within Mother Earth, then requesting energy that I then visualise pulling up through my body to my crown chakra (top of my head) to ensure that I do not give any of my own energy to whomever I am healing, protecting myself by not depleting my own life force energy or indeed passing any of my own dis-ease on to them. I have heard practitioners say that they have experienced Reiki headaches, if this occurs then they have not grounded themselves properly or at all.
