Interesting. I know someone who stutters and the only time I rarely hear them stutter is when they leave me voice notes. That send them at random times so I trust they strategically decide when they are less likely to stutter before sending them. Yet, I notice they avoid phone calls with me (and I trust others) and they stutter lots in conversations held in person. It's so interesting sometimes that they can leave a 2+ long voice message and there's zero stuttering sometimes. I do hear in some messages they stutter or stammer ok words but it's infrequent. Yet, I think phone calls would be be similar to in person convos where this individual appears to have less control over their stutter (than they do when they choose to send a voice message). Maybe they feel more confident sending voice messages than they do having direct conversations either on the phone or in person.

Might be. I think it's more of when you leave a message you're expected to talk lol and it becomes stage fright. I haven't posted a video in a while lol. I didn't know people actually watched them.

@@TheSandmanoh3 Yup. We're watching! Thank you for the feedback. Sometimes I hear them stutter in the voice notes but not to the same degree as they stutter when we're talking in person. So nerves and anxiety DO impact a person (who stutters) and makes them stutter more? I keep seeing some say they don't.

Idk why you would stutter when you can fix it.. same with panic attacks

Why fix it when I don't have a problem with it.

@@TheSandmanoh3 yeh I guess stuttering can only be a little inconvenient, I had to cure panic attacks because they can wipe you out lol

I am in the same boat in dealing with stressful situations but I just don't care anymore about my stutter. I just keep moving forward. Great video!

Maybe do a video with your wife? Always curious how partners see our stutter. I know my husband is just okay with it. Weird but true, lol

TheSandmanoh3 I don’t even have the guts to make a video alone. Lol So respect for you, and all others who stutter, to make videos like this 👍

Married for over 21 years now. And I often thought ‘why would a guy love a woman with a stutter?’ But apparently he did and still does. He supports me. He listens to me. He never finishes words. It’s just no big deal for him. He’s proud when I do stuff and I stutter and it’s scary. He’s proud! Weird but true. Lol

I agree that doing stuff that's hard helps a lot. Facing your fears, bite the bullet. The last year I started doing that. Order stuff I know I'm gonna stutter on. And i feel that is lessens the fear.
