Similar bag here! (Box for you) ef 85 and 50…rf 35 and 70-200. Ef 24 1.4 for wide and still rocking that 17-40 on occasion tho

R6 Mk. III is reportedly the next big camera so you might be happy later this year. I'm personally going for the lower priced R3 or R5 now. But also seeing good deals on Z9s.

AGREED that deity is garbage when it comes to RF. I like the rode NTG (zero RF) but its got a lot of hiss it sucks. I wonder how the vp83 compares to the NTG. Do you hear hiss on your vp83?

Ferrite cores need to be on BOTH ends of the cable to be effective. My experience matches yours, they don't make any perceivable difference - but the physics of them blocking RF is authentic.

I’ve only owned the old Rode mic you see in the thumbnail, that one also received Rf Interference, which is why I purchased the Deity as a replacement. I do remember watching another KZbinr who owned the rode video mic pro plus and hearing rf interference in the background so I don’t think it’s immune to it.

I’d check and see if the Sennheiser has RF immunity. Also it may not be a problem in your neighborhood, if so, keep your receipt and exchange it for the Shure.
