I first saw and heard this band at a public park in Tulsa, Ok, in the mid 80s, a free show when they were just starting out, and there was no stage, they just played on the same grass the public was, no chairs, and I was about 15 feet from Russ Freeman and they played a lot of tunes, now classics. Great band.

Oh my goodness...... I remember hearing this near the time it was released....maybe 1990 ...? I was 26 then.... a whole lot of time has come and gone since then. I was living in a Northern suburb of Chicago at the time. Their sound is so dynamic and really fit the backdrop of the city and its suburbs . My life is so very different now bur hearing this brings back a lot of memories. God's Peace to all here! 🙏✌️

The Ripps were a uniquely great band at this particular point in time. Their music was cutting edge and they played tight. Evokes great memories of the late 80s/early 90s for me.

Really big fan of the Rippingtons--especially back in the 90s. Saw them multiple times but they never played this song. So glad to see it now. ONly question i have is...Steve Reid is so great at percussion...so how can he have so little rhythm? :)

The Rippingtons are one of my original, major inspirations for becoming a musician. This was definitely the most tightly night line-up of the Rippingtons in their 20+ year history (no disrespect to the current members). The overall sound has seemed to have lost something since "Topaz" as I'm just not impressed with anything that has come out since :(. Some songs are ok, and I listen to but no song has grabbed my ear like it used to (except "six four") since "Summer Lovers" on their Topaz CD

Russ should bring percussion back to the band. The new Rippingtons Lite just doesn't do well with us old Rippington fans. No disrespect to Dave,he does a hell of a job playing drums with latin percussion fills. Keeps a drummer busy.
