Smooth and performance are pretty cool and all, but have yall risen a sketchy PanHead Chopper? Pretty exciting to say the least! killer new Softtail…definitely pushing the edge as far as style and performance…I’ll still take an ol hardtailed Pan,knuck, or Shovel any day…but I’d jump on this too! Great build!!

Ah, the charm of a Panhead Chopper, where every ride feels like an adventure with a sprinkle of danger! But hey, this Fat Boy is like the perfect fusion of rebellious spirit and modern finesse-so smooth, you might miss the thrill of dodging loose bolts. But who says you can't have both? Thanks for the kind words, and don’t worry, the old-school vibes never go out of style!

269 kilograms ??? Are you serious?? Crazy .... 35 kilograms more compare the predecessor ??? This is insane ... To heavy ...no way .. the gs 1250 adverture it was already a very heavy bike ... To drive and expecially to park . So i can immagen now with 35 kilograms more 😂😂😂😂
@ATDesign-
@ATDesign- 11 күн бұрын
Yes, the 2025 BMW R 1300 GS Adventure does indeed weigh 269 kilograms, which is around 35 kilograms more than its predecessor. While it may sound heavy, especially for those who are used to lighter bikes, it's important to remember that the GS series has always been designed for long-distance touring, off-road capability, and carrying substantial luggage. However, this weight gain is balanced by various enhancements that aim to improve overall handling, stability, and performance, even in challenging terrains. The added weight comes from advanced technology, stronger materials, and additional features that weren't present in its predecessor. The GS 1300 Adventure has been engineered with a lower center of gravity, making it more stable than one might expect. Additionally, the bike’s upgraded suspension and electronic aids make it surprisingly agile, even at this weight. This isn’t a race bike where every kilogram shaved off makes a significant difference in lap times. Instead, it’s built for durability, stability, and comfort over extended periods of riding. When comparing it to its competitors, the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure is still within a reasonable range. For instance, the Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally comes in around 260 kilograms, and the Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports with full luggage and accessories tips the scales close to 250 kilograms. These adventure bikes are built with similar philosophies in mind: providing a robust and versatile platform that can handle a wide range of conditions. So, while it might seem heavy, this added weight contributes to its robustness, fuel capacity, and ability to handle the rigors of long-distance travel. After all, it’s not about how light the bike is, but how well it can perform in the scenarios it’s designed for.

@@ATDesign- Thanks for your explanation but I don't agree at all. I understand that BMW has to invoice but it is not at all true that 35 kilograms are irrelevant for a motorcycle like this. especially when stationary or parking maneuvers already my GS 1200 Adventure is very thoughtful... considering that I am a very robust person and 192 cm tall. all heavy motorcycles...even a Harley Davison that weighs 400 kilos when we ride it at moderate speed is agile and looks like a bicycle. this is obvious.. all motorcycles are. but a motorcycle must also be tested when stationary when parking both with the side stand and with the central stand. It's already difficult to pick up my motorcycle which weighs 233 kilograms empty. let alone a motorcycle that weighs 270 kilograms when empty... plus the weight of the petrol and all the liquids reaches 320 kilograms very well and it will be a difficult task to lift it onto the central stand, not to mention the maneuvers carried out when stationary in reverse. I will definitely test drive this 1300 ha Adventure... but already from the images it seems too clumsy and bulky to me. I am sorry
@ATDesign-
@ATDesign- 11 күн бұрын
2025 BMW R 1300 GS Adventure Curb weight: 593 pounds / 269 kg. Thank you for sharing your perspective. I understand your concerns about the added weight, especially when it comes to stationary maneuvers and parking. These are legitimate considerations. It’s true that 35 kilograms is not insignificant, especially for riders who frequently find themselves in situations where they need to maneuver the bike at low speeds or while stationary. BMW likely added this weight to enhance durability, increase fuel capacity, and provide additional features that improve the bike’s overall performance in its intended use cases. You’re absolutely right that weight distribution and the bike's center of gravity play crucial roles in how manageable a bike feels. While heavier bikes like Harley-Davidsons can feel agile at speed due to their design, the challenge often lies in those low-speed, stationary situations, as you’ve pointed out. The R 1300 GS Adventure, with its increased weight, might require a bit more effort in these scenarios, particularly when lifting onto the central stand or reversing. That said, every rider has unique preferences and needs, and the best way to truly understand how this additional weight impacts the ride is to experience it firsthand. I highly recommend going for a test drive of the 1300 GS Adventure. This way, you can directly assess how it handles, how the weight feels in real-world conditions, and whether it aligns with your expectations. Sometimes, the numbers on paper can paint a different picture than the actual riding experience.
