Alright so I like to test things to see how they work since this is a videogame and so there can be weird mechanics so getting smoked by them on the first play through not feel fun cause it feels unfair like how am I supposed to know that. Also I don’t like seeing people get smoked and I like to adjust my strategy if some things aren’t as I expected like how Selena no attack with bolting sometimes or ambush spawns like I want to play aggressive and do good by getting the villages cause it gives me purpose and that would mean playing perfectly, if I just sat back and turtled and not get villages and stuff I feel the game would get boring. Also I like using those items to really build up my units, I like that.

It feels fun to do everything right in your own way and being able to pull off insane plays which are only possible with save states. Turtling is not fun and I’d rather do one or the other not half turtling half get the villages, like just get all the villages if u gonna try to get one. Yea Ironmans are more aligned with war and how u don’t know everything your first try but there is no incentive to play like that and plus the game is not very realistic with the ability to see a map before battle with enemy positions. So no need to be committed to realistic Ironman run as if this really war. I think I’ve gotten far enough in the run to understand Ironmans are not for me, they can feel unfair at times and limit your potential as u might not be able to do certain things first try and might lose potential fun allies. I’d like to at least try everyone out and have them in case I need them. Save states are pretty nice and I will be playing with those for now and forward. I like the game for doing everything right in the runs and experimenting and both are not possible in ironmans. By not doing everything right I feel I am missing out as I don’t get the village and don’t get to test and learn and possibly lose opportunities by being too slow or losing a unit or not knowing something beforehand.

Maybe if this was my first game and not three houses I would be more accustomed to the Ironman rules but save states are a thing so not sure.
