I always wonder what would have happened to the dynasty if Hurrem had been buried with her ring. She always said that it is a piece of her soul, that the ring would burn all but her because of its power and symbol. It was made by the hand of Suleiman for an unknown person at the time, given to her as a token of love. Coveted by so many, only Hurrem seemed to know her limit in terms of power. Each woman after her committed great sins and killed the royal blood to either get or maintain power. Later sultanas to wear the ring even killed their own children when their power was threatened
