The idea that is was "soft" is weird to me. I just think of October Rust as just a great album. It transcends genres to me by just being an amazingly well written album that almost anyone could get into if they gave it a spin.

For a man that wanted to treat his body as a temple at this point in his life he sure took a different stance later in his life.

Type O Negative was never overexposed by the media. They were the kinda band you had to dig deep and find on your own. And I hope it stays that way forever. The best goth rock band.

When he said that shit about bands getting old and needing to stop, ac/dc immediately came to mind. Ive loved that band since i was a little kid, more so bons music than brians, but after Malcolm died, fuck thats it man...

Honestly, peter is the type of guy that was destined to just make some freaky gothic rock/metal/etc - his face looks like he could be a boris karlov Era monster

“I try to make it so it looks like I have some self respect” That’s a really, really good way to talk about health. When you’re not healthy by your own lifestyle, it does come off like you don’t respect yourself. Very good, Peter Steele. RIP.

This is definitely the peak of Type O Negative’s career during the decade of the 90’s. Type O released 5 albums during the 90’s & the other two albums were released in 2003 & 2007 🤘

So funny that the Rolling Stones were literally in their (very) late 40s and (very) early 50s here and that 27 years ago it was such an insane thing that they were still touring. As I write in 2023, Mick is 80 and they're still touring, and have firmly totally normalised that a band never has to quit as long as they're good enough. Ironically, rock music was still, I guess, young when this interview was filmed so we didn't know yet. Some bands I'd go to see in concert these days easily age up to their 80s. Most of the big bands lucky enough to still be touring are 50s at least. If you're good enough, you're young enough. Anyway, I'd kill to see Type O these days who'd be 50s / 60s.

"Certainly not". And in those two words, Josh summed up; -The band's sense of humour (outward) -The band's general state of mind (inside) -The band's music (for all of us to enjoy) I💚JS
