Been a life long fan of this song, no matter who performed it: Dave Mason, Traffic, Three Dog Night, Grand Funk Railroad and whoever else. I would listen to Joe do this number anytime!

Stone The Crow opened, then Mountain, then 18 people on stage and a yellow lab. Went from 8:30 to 1:30 and the reefer smoke was so thick you could cut it with a knife. Best show I've ever seen.

Not a patch on the Mad Dogs & Englishmen version, but happy-making all the same.Was there anybody who ever expressed the pure unrestrained exuberance of rock and roll better than our Joe? Loved the way he moved on stage as much as James Brown - maybe more.
