Hi Eric and Jen, I've went to Isla Mujeres last year and are going this November. I've watch all your Isla Mujeres videos and enjoyed them, I got a lot of new ideas. We are going as a couples trip, 8 people in total. We would like to try a new spot next year as a couples trip. Can you recommend another spot similar to Isla? Laid back spot to relax and explore?

This tour sounds like a fantastic way to see Isla Mujeres! I love how you get to explore both the popular and hidden spots. The Rainbow Stairs represent so many important values and causes-what a cool place to visit. Kudos to you for highlighting local businesses and hidden gems on the island-it's these places that truly make a trip memorable. The Day of the Dead traditions sound very cool!

You asked and I have to say that for years we have travelled to Isla and have always stayed at Privileges Aluxes for 3 to 4 weeks and love this place. Have our own pools and beach area that is not crowded.

I was curious if these are strictly videos you'd like to make vs some sort of sponsorship even if it's only a free meal. A fair number of Isla Mujeres videos I've watched it seems like your the only ones eating there like in the Muele 7 video and or you order food but cut away and say something generic like.... what friendly people good food (we don't need to see you actually eating but maybe something "more"). There you have it. Never have I before seen that amount of people at Baby Beach, (minding the hotel in the background not even ready yet!). So sad to see our once before secluded Baby Beach, known for it's tranquility, is now a thing of the past. The true essence of Baby Beach can not be experienced anymore... lost to local sell outs that let more hotel projects have their ways on a tiny island. Loosing more local identity to 💵💵💵

I just want to thank you Schmoops for getting Aza to get you around in Isla. Àza is really a great person and I'm so glad I met him when I did. I don't if he has told you much about his life but if not all I can say is he values humanity from the lessions he has learned throughout his life. I think so much of him I even offered to financially invest in his bullshit ventures. That's my feelings about Àza.

You can't beat El Camino tours and especially Aza. We will always use him. He is very professional and knowledgeable of the island but most of all he is like family to our family when we are in Isla Majures. A+++ rating.

Thank you for all your recommendations. We stayed at Worldmark by Wyndham. We used the hop on hop off bus for 20 pesos each one way. You can also buy a bus pass but we chose to pay the 20 pesos. A restaurant near us was great Green Verde I recommend for you on a future trip. We met Juan at Zama beach club he says we just missed you guys by four days. Thanks again.

I love Isla Mujeres. I’ve been there many, many times while staying in Cancun. Hoping someday soon to stay on the island instead of Cancun. I have noticed theses past few years that the island has become much busier than it was 20 years ago, or even 5 years ago. I liked it better when it wasn’t so crowded, but I still LOVE it there. Have they finished with all the roadwork coming out of the airport yet? Last winter the congestion due to the roadwork was a mess. Hoping our next trip to Mexico the roadwork will be completed.

My wife and I have been going down to the region since early 2000. We have gone up and down from Playa to Puerto Mujeres. Started with all of the Palaces (Cancun, Moon, Sun), then Iberostar Grande, Excellence (3 times), Secrets, and have always made day trips to Isla. Now we have gone over two times and just stayed at PRIVILEGE ALUXES and are now heading back in Oct for a week. Soggy Peso, Bally Hoo , Tiny Gecko etc. Love it over there. Your videos keep us focused. LOL. Keep it up.
