Still a unique deckbuilding game to me and my group enjoyed it. Added some new cards which fixes one or two factions.

I still prefer the original West End Games Star Wars d6 game.

I respect that you don't think this version was a value as a "Deluxe Edition", fair enough. However, I don't think you're being entirely fair on 2 poiints: 1) The original was in a cardboard box, this is in a tin. Given the economics of board games, this is actually a deluxe version of the box at least. 2) You seem so focused on the number of dice, but I would counter: having more dice could make the game harder to play, not easier. Why? Because all players are looking at the same set of dice, and only one player is rolling dice at any one time. If there were MORE sets of dice, it could lead to confusion as to which dice are in play, or whose turn it was. The dice function as both tools for ALL players at the same time, as well as a current player marker.

In practice with teaching and playing this game so much, I prefer the 'only 2 dice' approach because it forces people to track turns better when they 'pass the dice' to the next player. When the game gets fast (it can) people can accidentally step over each other's turns.

I got the Kickstarter version as part of a job lot with Arcadia Quest Inferno. I wouldn't have searched for it on it's own and I certainly wouldn't be paying the £200+ that is being asked for it in the UK? At least in gives me extra characters to use in Arcadia Quest.

Really not that heavy a game, long yes but Pax Ren and Pamir are far far far harder to teach. It's actually simpler to teach than Scythe in my opinion...

I remember seeing this game when it came out and regret not buying it after learning through this video how it works! All these years I didn't realize a deck builder was a game where you improved your deck as you play. That's a very cool concept that I've come to quickly love after discovering it through the Dark Souls card game! This is very similar to the new Star Wars deck builder by Fantasy Flight Games. It sounds like they took some ideas from this or maybe another similar game.

Just got this used for $5 seems ok, but I don’t like how the “plant player side” of the game board is at the top, in the video game zombies come in from the right side, in this game they come in from the left. Just seems backwards.

I think to keep it funny you need to play it with new players each time & certainly not a game you can play regularly with the same game night crowd

Tanto is probably my favorite boardgame ever, especially with the newer expansion added in, its pretty much guarenteed that my friends and I will play Tanto when we're together xD

I feel like as some one who's been playing table top since I was 10 an easy rule for line of Sight is go off D&D rules for that, also maybe reducing the amount of empty safes could prove as a game fix/balancer

Thanks a lot for your short review. I just wished that it was a more current review also taking into the account all the other possible expansion and the hefty tome of a revised rulebook. How do you rate it now? I myself am a long time pen and paper rpg player and gamemaster and find myself increasing being dragged to the rpg side instead of board games due to the possible freedom of choice and focus on narrative rather than mechanics. It is also a big plus to me, that Faith is set in a science fiction universe rather than hunting goblins in a fantasy world. With all this being said, I have 5 questions to ask you: 1) Did you check out all the available expansions for Faith and if not: Do you have any plans in doing so? 2) How often have you played Faith up until now? 3) Would you recommend it nowadays and to a gamer with my kind of background/interests? 4) Are there any plans for making another review raking all the possible expansions into account? 5) How would you rate replayability? As it seems to be an RPG with tagged on board game components, I guess it is quite flexible and as such not limited to a fixed story or campaign? Thanks again for your review and your reply!

I love this game , we played it several times and won more often than not . All my friends love it so I’m not sure why all the negatives . I’d suggest strategize a little better and plan for the worst , it’s much more fun when you overcome the Darkness .
