How do u do the D in the beginning?? Is it not open D??

You could do an open D, but I am using my fourth finger on the g string because it means I have less string crossings. 4th finger on G makes the same sound as open D.

@@aars0007 We actually just found a violin version for free on the internet and I adjusted it and transposed it in my head for viola while playing it. So unfortunately I don't have any links for you. If our video is too fast for learning it by ear you are also welcome to slow it down through the KZbin video settings!

Thank you for this tutorial, helped a lot! I was mostly following the violin tab diagram. I was so confused about the L's and H's when you can just put note names since you have the diagram on the right side and the left side's timing is off overall that I just relied on memory. But I really love the live playing with the tab diagrams!
