I was amazed that some said they didn't hear much difference. This is the most stark difference in tone I have heard. Light swamp ash body, soft v neck, and whatever those pickups were doing. For me, this is the sound. Great video.

Only thing though... in a sound mix in a song... you wouldn't hear the difference, it is that subtle. If you want to pay more as a collector, go for it. If you're using it as a tool to make music, it's pretty close and not noticeable in use.

@brianwaugh9249 Oh no! I completely agree. No way I'd spend that money. However I like to build them and it got me thinking about doing a Warmoth project.

I’ve played a Nocaster. There were only 400 ever produced and they were all hand built. The one I played was found in my friend’s grandmother’s attic and sold to Norman’s rare guitars back in the mid 90’s for a lot of money 💰 👍🏻 I’m pretty sure Joe Bonamassa owns it now

40 - 45 tunes should be plenty for a 3 hr gig. Usually take a couple 10 minute breaks and the audience likes to hear a story or two. Thanks for the vid

I went and bought a second unit, because I'm using them for a mini wireless-stereo setup. They pack a punch for what they are; very different than Honeytone N~10 gear. Low-end response works if you're practicing solo.. just boost different bands of an EQ pedal, into this digi-amp, you'll see!

I was looking at an fs-830, but as a noob I didn't detect anything about it that would justify spending double over the Art & Lutherie that I was distinctly satisfied with. Then I learned about the TA series.... if it's everything it appears to be, it seems like a no brainer for me. Now the tough choice will be: settle for the FCX-TA? or go for the LS-TA and never look back? (I think my mind is already made-up, lol).

Solid woods seem to be the preference for tone and longevity. I have never regretted getting the better version whenever I’ve had to make a choice. To me it’s always worth the extra $$ if you can swing it.

Have you tried using the mid-range EQ scoop for strumming? (hold the TA button for 5 sec. to activate [see LED inside blinking], use volume to adjust EQ scoop, then hold TA button for 5 to save the new settings [do not plug or unplug the unbalanced cable while doing this, or it wont save])

After around 22 years of experience, owning a number of both expensive and cheap guitars; I can tell you that pick ups upgrade is only worth it if you are not pleased with how stock PUs sound and if you find in a new set the sound you are looking for, regardless if the stock or new ones are either ceramic or alnico, this whole discussion on ceramic vs alnico being one better than the other is reduced to personal taste. So the question is… is it worth it to upgrade? You will know after the upgrade.

How high would you say the low e action is? Say 1.5mm 4/64ths? The zero fret causes higher action
@justinbishopmusic11 күн бұрын
The zero fret makes it very low on the first five frets. At fret 12, it’s around 1.75mm.

I was an avid "Dead-Head" for 15 years. My love of that band is rooted in improvision. When I play covers, I interpret them as I wish. I make no pretense of mimicking the iriginal artist. When people come to see me they come to hear what I do with those songs.

Eventually I bought Argentine silver new conept strings 11-52 but seems they are for gypsy jazz only. I have Epiphone J-45 and it sounds with a bit too much bass with the fabric Gibson strings of 12 calibre for my ears. Is it worth to try the silver strings with J-45 what do you think?

I did some computer work for a buddy recently and he asked me to install Pod Go Edit for his Pod Go while I had his laptop. After playing with the PG for a few days I picked myself up a Helix LT, then a HX Effects. Both are excellent units, you just need to know your way around the menus to be able to get solid, recordable tones. Thankfully there's plenty of videos online, like this one. Thank you.
@Itsmejanstand18 күн бұрын
Not sure if it was mentioned but you can also just use session view and add an additional track (1 for main guitar and one for the loop) and loop right onto session view. You can add as many tracks if you want more layers. There's also a different way to send all your instruments to one looper device and use that. Lots of ways. Good video

I know this is an older post but maybe I’ll get some advice. I sing better than I play. I’ve been a singer for years and played in groups and in churches. I’m mostly a strummer and I do play finger style but mostly just the chord progressions. That mates me feel like I wouldn’t be appealing to listen to. I just can’t seem to play riffs and intros. I hada guy tell me my voice is my primary instrument and I’ve tried diligently to play intros and riffs but just can’t make it happen. What to do??
@justinbishopmusic21 күн бұрын
I’d say in the short term, partner up with someone who can. I’ve been more of a player, and I’ve enjoyed those partnerships. In the long run, it takes really buckling down to learn one at a time. Really focus on just one riff for a few days. Hang in there!
