The dealership guy told me to wait 4 days, dont do a reset, wait and see he said. Gas cap loose = need to reset the car CPU, seems BS.

I have had no problems with it for two years now. I also don’t put a “ton” of pressure on it. Define a “ton”.

I had ALL my dashboard icons come on AND EYESIGHT off… and yes, did the same thing and it fixed the issue. Can you imagine how much a dealership would have tried to get out of someone?

I found that if you use the higher pressure settings, you minimize waste and runoff. The rinse setting uses too much water/cleaner. Especially since this is a bleach solution which could be harmful.

I have tried powering off the entire car. The problem goes away the first time I start it, but reappears the second time I start it.

FYI - In future one small suggestion- use one short wood while compressing to keep strut straight like 90 degree. And other one long wood along floor jack and tie wood at top using rope with strut so when removing strut it doesn’t spring backwards(expand) all of sudden and then floor jack to release the spring pressure.

Great suggestion! Hopefully these last long enough, so I don't have to do it too soon.

What brand struts did you use? I’m not happy with either OEM. Nor lucky on aftermarket(TRQ) one. Appreciate your feedback on what did you use. ACURA struts are too soft. Poor quality spring by OEM in my opinion. Or it may be just me.

These FCS from Rock Auto. They are more spongy than I would like, but I don't think they make an aftermarket strut that will satisfy our needs. KYB didn't have one for the 2015 MDX.

@Andy44Andy - what made you dislike the TRQ brand struts? Was it noisy? Reason why I’m asking is because I just ordered a set and don’t want to be disappointed when I put it in.

@@diyorbust842how’s the ride with those struts? I’m looking for a softer ride so I don’t mind it be mushy. Also great vid btw. Glad you didn’t cut out those mishaps so I know what to encounter when I do them

Use folded thick cloth under the wood on knuckle towards brake rotor side to prevent wood sliding to have upward slope. Thanks for making this video.

At what point do americans just admit that a vented clothes dryer... a machine with a 6,000 watt red hot heating element that blows 100% of that expensive electric heat energy out of a 4" hole in the wall... is maybe a worse idea than *dehumidifying* the moisture out of the clothes with a heat pump dryer? Switzerland admitted it in like 1997 lol.. but then, they're an *actually developed* nation. Seriously, heat pump dryers make sense!
@CubbyTech
@CubbyTech 2 ай бұрын
Heat pump dryers are nice - however take 2-3 times longer to dry less clothes (reduced capacity) and are 2-3 times more expensive.
@NicolajTopp

Blowing the hot air directly out of your building is such a waste of energy. Better use a heat pump dryer.

Resistance electric vented dryers are the absolute most boomer american idea I can think of... "Burn it all and blow it out of a smokestack! Make those lazy millennials pull themselves up by the bootstraps like we had to when we inherited all the land!"
