The bible also doesnt say you must were a tirtle neck and a penguine suit to understand and preach the word. Actuall jesus said to call NO man father for one is your father in heaven. Yet you give your self this man made title of father. So why would any one in their right mind listen to anything you have to say about God when you cant even get the basics right? I would suggest people read the bible for themselves so see if jesus ever referred to himself as the Father.

Question: doesn’t the story of Lazarus and the Rich man imply that we will be with God when we die, and that the Rich man in Hell wanted for someone to warn his brothers, indicating that this was before the final judgment? Can we deduce from that story some truths about life after this one? Or should we be cautious with those types of story’s since we don’t really know if it’s a parable or not?
@revdanberg27 күн бұрын
@@villarrealmarta6103 Thanks for the question! I think we do well to be cautious. It is good for us to speak boldly about what Scripture says clearly and there is plenty hidden about life after death. What is clear for us is that Jesus is the only way to eternal life.

Christmas is not the birth of Jesus. You were lied to. There are 13 months and Sunday is the first day of the week. Relationships not Religion will change the world as was written . Many religious people are judgmental and Hippocrates. Love is the answer and being meal will help on the path to eternal life.

@revdanbergАй бұрын
Thanks for the suggestion and the love! I’ll leave it up, though. I know Jesus is no longer on the cross, just like he is no longer in the manger. But we love to show our kids Jesus in the manger and preach the good news of Christmas. We also love to show our kids Jesus on the cross and preach Christ crucified (1 Corinthians 1.18-25).

Jesus was the last passover lamb, the last sacrifice for sins. He said this while he was still alive and sitting with his disciples. He was talking metaphorically, much the same way when he talks about himself being the vine, or the Living Waters and drink from him, and so many other examples. The Catholic church has Twisted it into something that it's not. In order to control the church

Salvation by faith, not by baptism. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 KJV “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV “And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” Acts 16:31 KJV Paul the same guy you take out of context “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” Romans 1:16 KJV Paul again “that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9 KJV and again

Rolls eyes. The gay people in my life wear shirts that say in big letters I'm gay. It's really hard to see them as only souls that need Jesus when they scream in my face see my gayness. So as lovely as that sounds it would be like someone wearing a shirt that says I'm a pedophile. It's kind of hard to ignore or set aside so that I can get mushy and sweet and not just say God can't overlook this sin. When you scream it in his face. He will not be merciful. Mercy is given to people who seek it. When they are in his face screaming see my sin and deal with it, these people need to be warned. Loved Yes. But they need to leave to be warned

What? It is a clear answer sir. It is wrong. It opposite of how God made us to reproduce after our own kind. Two men and two women cannot reproduce without outside involvement. You are a compromiser, so believers beware! This is how another gospel gets taught in the church. Nonsense!
@thepitpatrol2 ай бұрын
The churches doesn't have a stance. The Bible has the "stance", and it makes it plain that homosexuality is a sin. Baptism will not save you from this.

Baptized by the blood of the lamb on the cross. Repent and believe and you too shall be saved.
@repentchristians2 ай бұрын
Wrong sir. Baptism is an outward testimony of our salvation through Jesus Christ. Baptism does not save us and does not forgive us. Only our faith in Christ saves us and our asking God for forgiveness is what forgives us because of what Jesus did for us on the cross. It's all about Jesus, not baptism.
@RainShowers25052 ай бұрын
Then why did Peter write, "baptism, (which corresponds to the Salvation granted to knowing his family via the ark ) now saves you? And why did Paul write of baptism and described it as a washing of regeneration if it is just an act that we do for no good reason other than to show off?

How do you prepare for celibacy?
@revdanberg2 ай бұрын
I am a married Lutheran pastor. Celibacy is not my experience but is a blessing. To prepare for celibacy would require the fear of the Lord and the humility of faith.
@chrisengel1432 ай бұрын
@revdanberg this is a little unrelated. Anyway, I grew up in a single parent household where it felt like love was conditional. Because of this experience, I've learned to rely on myself and distrust others, especially when love is involved. Im aware of this challenge I face. With that said, I hear the Lord calling my name, but to be honest with you, I'm fearful of putting my full trust in the Lord, like seriously afraid to relinquish my control. What advice can you offer someone like me who wants to be close to God but is fearful of that kind of love?
@revdanberg2 ай бұрын
That’s an understandable fear, an understandable hesitation. Pray and meditate on Psalm 119 and John 12. Let your daily prayers be filled with the psalms.
