Hi! I'd love to say yes but here's the situation... Just yesterday I met for the first time my church's new Children's Pastor--her first week on the job (I stepped aside several years ago after the death of my wife and to fulfill the vision she and I shared to start an online ministry of which The Object Lesson Channel is a part). In short, I don't think it would be good for me to request filming the kids she'll be working with. One time maybe, but I'd want to do it for ALL the videos I make and that would be super disruptive. There may come a time when I volunteer to teach, but nothing happening on that yet. Also, to my sadness, the Sunday School class I saw yesterday only had three kids in it; it'll take the new Pastor some time to bring that back up to a reasonable size--a bigger class, in addition to being more kids learning about our Lord, is much better for filming. To help grasp the Shake a Leg game, be sure to watch the Moose, Moose video--it's the same game but with different actions. In the future I'll try to add more illustrations or animations to any video that may need it. God bless you too, and thanks for serving God by working with kids!! Tom

Thank you. I was a little confused about the Bible five card. Were there 25 spaces and all? How do they get to put down a card? Answering a random question? I think you said the first to win is the one that puts all five cards down. Could they keep drawing until they get five in a row? I understood all the other games. This is the only one that I was a little confused with.
@TheObjectLessonsChannel Жыл бұрын
Thanks for asking! Think of a Bible Bingo card with 25 spaces (5x5)--get five in a row and that's a Bingo. In 5-Card, you simply cut all 25 spaces apart and pile them on a table. Kids pick five cards (spaces) each (thus up to five players per the 25 little cards). The teacher also has the same 25 little cards. One by one the teacher randomly chooses a card to read to the players. Sooner or later a player will have all five cards called out and will therefore win the game. It doesn't matter if the players see each other's cards. Also, kids don't answer Bible questions; instead, you and they discuss the topic written on each card (you could write 25 Bible references, 25 miracles Jesus did, etc.). I'd recommend you make the cards large enough to be easy to handle and read--the video uses numbers in small spaces for demonstration purposes. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the ideas! My husband and I recently decided to volunteer as children’s church leaders, which is done on a rotation schedule of 1-2 months for the year. This is our first time helping with this ministry and we’re looking for ideas on how to fill the 1.5 hours (besides the 20 minute lesson our church provides). I’ll be using some of these games!
