The forshadowing this entire ep is fucking crazy

Ok, so. Chuck came to earth to be a normal ass human. He shut off his God powers. That was so long ago he forgot he was God and just started writing, and all of this is him re-gaining his memories. As he is writing, he is simultaneously ret-conning the entire history of earth and creating demons. And it all happened subconsciously.

Nobody realizes the necklace made him confess but he was able to suppress the white hot 🔥

I don't understand all this people saying it was a spoiler, a foreshadowing, it was planned all along...guys Chuck is Kripke alter ego, we are in front a classic and old metaphor of author as God of it's own story. Kripke was making fun of himself and was using metatexing for the ending of season five which was his personal ending for saying goodbye to the audience and doing a writer declaration. Chuck vanishes like the creator left the show. It's not that complicated and all they decided to write after...well was the decision of the current showrunner, it wasn't planned, and it shouldn't be a big reveal, the storyline was written after and he was God all along

The foreshadowing is actually insane

God was an author and created man in his own image... Take that to meditron and his obsession with the way man could create stories. It all comes full circle

I know some people liked Chuck and were kinda confused by his "turn" towards the end of the show, but I deeply hated Chuck from the very beginning and this is why. This scene. Still you gotta hand it to a show that made God himself an actual false prophet...

Clue #1 that chuck is no friend: yes it’s partly because he admitted it but the reason he’s saying this is malicious because he knows the boys won’t take him seriously and will treat him as someone who doesn’t know what’s happening to him because he wrote himself into the story as that. And this dives into clue #2 that chuck is no friend. If chuck is a prophet which we all know he is in fact not why is he the only prophet we’ve seen in the show that can see what Sam and Dean are doing when the rest of them can just read and sometimes repair angel and demon tablets? Because reading the word of god is all that prophets should be able to do. When Kevin awakened as a prophet we should’ve seen from the get go that something was up with chuck because Kevin could not see Sam and deans activities unless he was there with them. Making chuck a liar who knows he can get away with it. And he also proves that he can rewrite the list of future prophets as much as he wants.

Guys, when a show with several seasons and a different team of writers behind the wheel comes up with clever references years apart from this scene, shouldn't it be called "callback" rather than "foreshadowing"? Isn't it more likely that the last season (season 15, which happened years later after this scene aired) was inspired by something more nostalgic-something more appropriate to put an end to Thus Spake Zarathrustra's fantasy for the last season of Supernatural? It's semantic, I know. But I prefer to think that some of the last episodes are more of a callback and homage by the production team to the original (5-season) planned run of Supernatural.
