Patricia Kopatchinskaja really plays it like a gypsy piece (which it is), so I think her recording is the best one.

Yes that’s Midori and I bought her Paganini 24 Caprices on CD back in 1990 and Paganini Violin Concerto No 1 Tchaikovsky Serenade Melancolique Valse Scherzo With the London Symphony Orchestra. She’s incredible on violin.

In social media I guess so, but non-socmed speaking Midori is pretty famous in her time she also invited to play with Bernstein and alot of concerto welcomed her back then.

Even as a violinist myself it took me an embarrassingly long time to discover her. She instantly became one of my favorites. I definitely agree that she's underrated. I don't think people who are familiar with her playing talk poorly of her, but simply not enough people talk about her at all.

this was surely one of the greatest interpretations of this piece, imo.
