This looks awesome! May I ask: what is the reasoning for not sewing on both ends of the tube from the inside of the face before gluing? Why do you save one end for after the glue? I'm not too savvy on sewing things :)

7:34 why not make one long tube that goes through both nostrils at once? i dont see why you need to cut two pieces off (not trying to seem rude or anything, just geinuanlly confused)

could i possibly combine this nose style with a squeaker? by cutting out some space in the foam of the nose (if i plan making a larger nose than this)

To anyone worried about having enough space to make a fursuit head: i made one in my tiny shoebox of a dorm in uni (im a first year)! Just organize your space, clean up often, and youre good ✌️

i dont have much knowledge on different fabric types but could you like the inside with cotton fabric or would it make the fur staticky? i want to line the inside of my bag with a fun patterned fabric while keeping the outside plain.

Don't know if this will be answered, but How do you figure out just where to make your darts ?, I seem to always go overboard and make my patterns look like they were made by picaso

3:00 To those who are stupid like me... if your proportional influence is not working, or is moving the whole circle, you have the proportional size too high which is effecting all the nodes so you don't see any movement at all. To fix it!! on the move tab you'll see the 'Proportional Size' slider, set that to 0.010 and the proportional size influence circle shall appear! I had mine way up high and spent way too long trying to figure what I was doing wrong!

So I understand the white plastic over top the mesh is nice and strong, but why not just leave the white mesh uncovered for better sight? Just aesthetics or because it isn't strong enough?

2-3 years of me being a furry and I was never able to find a good tutorial until now! I suffer from not being a fast learner and most tutorials I see today are always super quick and aren't very specific. Most of the time I need REALLY clear details or else I'll mess up. I hate when some tutorials go by super quick and just pass through everything. So thank you!

Would the taping method for fursuit heads work for making patterns for the antlers? I'm still very new at sewing and I'm not confident that I would be able to make it look very neat with this method.

I know this was made like 5 years ago but I find this really helpful. Do you have any tips when it comes to the head being only one color? I’m not exactly making a fursuit head but it’s going to be very similar. I’m making a pumpkin head with cat ears for Halloween and I just got a sewing machine as a present. If i wanted to make the pumpkin have those little bump sections like a cartoony pumpkin, should I do each bump individually? And how do i attach the fur to the base when I’m done?

I know this is an old-ish video but thank you so much for this tutorial! I really appreciate makers sharing their knowledge for the creatives out there to try it for ourselves without as much trial and error haha. I love the way you explain WHY you do things as well as doing them, it helps us to modify the teqnique to suit our needs while knowing what each step does.

8:09 You need to get a roll of butcher paper to trace on. Super wide, and you can cut it to length. My mum would get me some when I was young, and I'd roll it out on the floor and draw for ages.
