i love the message you put through, i really related with 0:58, ive had people tell me they love me, and its not that they didn't, but they said it more in fear that if they didn't express their love to people everyone would leave them, and in that sense i get it, but as you said, it brought up the question "do these people understand the weight those words hold?" also the cinematography was beautiful! :)

I have no clue how this came on my recommended but, everything you said, i feel the same way. Just so you know you are not alone. I myself am working on not being so quick on judging but, i get more hurt when i do not judge. SO i would say, maybe not the best advice but, its an amazing skill, but only in a proper amount. As Alan Watts said "A person who thinks all the time Has nothing to think about except thoughts So, he loses touch with reality and lives in a world of illusions By thoughts I mean specifically, chatter in the skull Perpetual and compulsive repetition of words, of reckoning and calculating I'm not saying that thinking is bad Like everything else, it's useful in moderation A good servant, but a bad master And all so-called civilized peoples Have increasingly become crazy and self-destructive Because through excessive thinking they have lost touch with reality That's to say We confuse signs With the real world"

Great introspective stuff! This topic has been on my mind recently a lot too and I'm so happy to see someone else feeling the same For me it was never an obstacle in making friends, but still without a doubt one of the topics I've always overthinked about a lot Can't wait to see your channel grow man! ❤ I thought this video had like at least a couple thousand views

Thanks for this simple video. I am still contemplating whether to buy the Ricoh GR IIIx or the Fuji XT30ii. Both with APS-C sensors. But the Ricoh seems so compact and it's a breeze to carry around when travelling. I like taking landscapes and streets scenes when travelling.

@@balboa0621 GR III is 28mm full-frame equivalent, which is just slightly not as wide as an iphone 11 in landscape mode, iirc. So it's still pretty good but not super wide. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I have a suggestion for a future video; the ethics of street photography. There's hardly anything on YT about this and I'd love a candid, honest discussion about it. Specifically about taking photographs of subjects who have not given their permission. There are thousands of SP videos, and most of them feature griii users getting great shots. And of course the best ones are usually catching people in a dramatic, unaware, moment. Basically, in a private, sometimes emotional moment. But unlike pre-instagram, pre-youtube etc days...these moments now get shared to sometimes hundreds of thousands of people, only to the benefit of the photographer. In my opinion this is wrong, unethical and is a serious breach of a person's privacy. Everyone's now savvy about online privacy (tagging friends/face recognition AI etc). Say you get a superb shot, a beautiful unguarded moment (of a stranger, someone you don't know). You want to share it with the world. Do you know what the subject's views are about that? What do you think the answer would be if you asked a stranger if you could share the shot you've just took of them (crying, happy, kissing, bad day face etc) for a KZbin video that thousands of people can see? I think in most cases the answer would be No. What would your answer be? It's a catch-22 situation with SP; you want the shot but know if you ask the subject for permission you'll have missed it. And if you ask them for permission to use it after you've taken it then the answer is like to be No. You use someone else for you're own purposes. Curious to hear your views on this, almost taboo subject/dilemma.

I'm going to comment on this, and I hope that you can take a random strangers opinion with a grain of salt. When you are in public, you have no idea who is filming or taking pictures of you every single day. You pass by hundreds of cameras from companies or fellow travelers without ever knowing it. I understand that someone could get upset if they had a very intimate or personal moment that was taken by a random stranger. However, I have had these discussions with people. The way that I frame it is that the special moments in public that we can catch are not any different from a painter who would recreate a memory. We snatch that period of time and utilize the moment to tell a story. The story is never about the subject, but about human emotion. If anyone I take a picture of asks me to delete it, I do. Immediately. I tend to take pictures of people as they look at me so they have every chance of letting me know how they feel. I use a ricoh gr iii exclusively because I don't look like a pro photographer. I don't want people to feel as if they are being used. I want people to see a photo and understand that the raw human emotion we capture can convey a feeling.

@@kiler2death Beautiful. And Thank You for a your insightful reply. I 100% agree your respectful approach. I only hope more souls like your good self have that level of consideration. But you did highlight one of my main issues though; 'We snatch that period of time and utilize the moment to tell a story. The story is never about the subject, but about human emotion' We are not directing actors that are being paid to be on set. As you (rightly) wrote, we are composing our own story out of someone else's, sometimes intimate moment, or even re-contextualising. but the end product will always be yours.Which is cool. What's less cool is publishing that image online, especially on KZbin/instagram. The away the art. We are just someone with a camera, taking a photo. There is a certain entitlement with this genre that I feel many folk subscribe to, (folk unlike your cool self). Besos.

I absolutely agree with you but would go further. Since these so called 'art' photographs are to be shared across the interweb I think it is reprehensible to take a shot of a person or small group without explicit permission. This is NOT art in any shape or form, it is intrusion. I also see no validity in the premise that the photographer is choosing to show a situation or emotion that he/she has imagined. What right do you have to 'imagine' whet the feelings of a complete stranger are? Quite frankly if I found someone covertly taking a shot of me I would feel complete justification in shoving the camera where the sun doesn't shine. For instance how do you know when you take your piece of 'art' that the photograph won't be seen by a parent or partner with disastrous results leading to family disruption or maybe divorce? I would go as far as to ask how do you know that the young person in your image is actually above the age of consent? It can be very difficult to tell nowadays. You don't know, and I for one would demand you keep your 'art' away from individuals. None of these so called 'street scenes' that feature individuals are in fact street art. To my mind, and something I have no quarrel with, street scenes should be just that. Scenes showing architecture, scenes showing environment and transport, scenes showing street activities, for instance a market, an entertainment or work being undertaken in that street. So long as these pictures don't compromise the privacy of the individual they are perfectly valid. And as for the person who felt that so much of his life was now in the public domain, well I feel sorry for you for allowing details of yourself to become so public. Something I fear that you will come to regret when you are older and wiser.
