I hope you are still reading these comments even though the video is years old. I love this technique but I must have watched this video 20 times and am still missing one piece of info. When making the mitered corners, you say to stitch down from the line you've drawn to the corner. But WHERE on that line do you start that stitching? A quarter inch from the edge? I can't tell from the video because the angle doesn't show how far down that line you are starting the stitching. Thanks in advance.

You made this look way easier than other tutorials, thank you. I subscribed to your channel tonight because you give tips along the way in a very calming voice. Now i just need to get the nerve up to make one of these soon. I just finished your bowl cozy, thank you for that. I didn't like how my darts were turning out from other tutorials, it was either keep all of it or none of it. These came out much better

Shop but no shop? You said you have products in your shop so I clicked on the website link, but a bit disappointed to find you cannot order anything you mention online? You’re obviously a pro at what you do but do not sell anything online??

Thank you for sharing this! FYI: I was warned that ironing (esp w/ steam) on the wool mat over the cutting mat will warp it... paying it forward. 😅

I seem to be the only person who doesn’t understand how to finish the binding. The video looks like it’s a raw edge backing stitched to a raw edge placement. Is the binding turned under somewhere? Does the binding overlap the placement edge?

Love the corners. Also, loving the placement with the leaves on it. I couldn't make out what you used to decorate the binding. Was it a decorative colored trim you were adding to it? It's a little hard to see what you're working on. My brother is a professional photographer. I think he would suggest thst you add some better lighting to the subject. Great video and thank you so much for showing us how to do those fantastic corners.

Dear Cindy, Thank you very much for this wonderful tutorial! I’ve made so many sets of placemats using your method. It works well for binding mini wall quilts, too. 🌻
