Shop but no shop? You said you have products in your shop so I clicked on the website link, but a bit disappointed to find you cannot order anything you mention online? You’re obviously a pro at what you do but do not sell anything online??

Thank you for sharing this! FYI: I was warned that ironing (esp w/ steam) on the wool mat over the cutting mat will warp it... paying it forward. 😅
@CindyBeesQuiltShoppe19 күн бұрын
@@angelcreations916 haven’t had that problem yet. However I do not use steam most of the time

This is the best method for this type of self binding placemat. They look better than another method I tried where you fold the corners. Much neater looking! Thank you so much for this video.

Thx for the wonderful tutorial! What model Pfaff are you using? It looks like an awesome sewing machine. Are they awfully expensive?

I seen another lady use tissue paper under the shelf liner and it didn't stick to the machine. She just taped it and started sewing

I seem to be the only person who doesn’t understand how to finish the binding. The video looks like it’s a raw edge backing stitched to a raw edge placement. Is the binding turned under somewhere? Does the binding overlap the placement edge?

Love the corners. Also, loving the placement with the leaves on it. I couldn't make out what you used to decorate the binding. Was it a decorative colored trim you were adding to it? It's a little hard to see what you're working on. My brother is a professional photographer. I think he would suggest thst you add some better lighting to the subject. Great video and thank you so much for showing us how to do those fantastic corners.

Dear Cindy, Thank you very much for this wonderful tutorial! I’ve made so many sets of placemats using your method. It works well for binding mini wall quilts, too. 🌻

I’m having a hard time seeing (my vision, not the videography) when you sew the corner that you have opened and trimmed. When you do that diagonal stitch to close the corner, is the Binding folded or still unfolded ? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Ditto all below. Have tried many methods of using the backing as a binding for the front. This method is excellent. Kudos on the instructional value. Nothing left out and done at a pace that is easily understandable. Thank you so much.

Great gift idea! I use a sewing machine needle in place of where you used a sewing pin to help get tight angles moving again. It’s sturdier and won’t bend. 😊

13” x 17” front & finished size 17” x 21” for backing which is also the binding (13x17 batting) totals = 1/2 yard of batting, front or main fabric and backing or backing fabric

I may be missing something. Chalking before cutting off the corners seems a waste of time. You already have the creases ironed. What did I miss?
