I dig it. And that's a giant bass player. Or a scaled down Ric. Lol

So this dropped into my YT recommendations and I gave it a whirl. Not exactly sure what I'm listening to - even had to check a couple of times to see if 2 different music videos were playing! Not heard anything like it before but I am finding it rather alluring and attentive, so much so that I had to go and find out who Eric Muhs is - which must only be a good thing I suppose! 😊

Well, that's all fabulous. Who wants to make something different? Me! It's all guitar and ukelele, highly processed (plus some bass & drums) Thanks for giving it a try.

BJ was the one I watched when seeing Procol live in concert. He was so interesting and also an amazing drummer. I didn’t realise til I was older that he was probably the best drummer out there!! RIP

Love it. I got a yellow one from you and John at Rubato records way back in the day. I used to come in after getting paid every two weeks or so and buy rare albums. I still have most of those albums.

B j should be talked about more, but just like his group procol harum, they don't receive the praise they deserve. They are better then so many groups, perhaps because they are not outrageous, but are low key. It's the music that matters , and they are a truly original band with their own sound.
BJ was an incredible drummer. He was 2nd to none, so very gifted and for me at the many PH gigs I attended it was BJ that got my attention. So graceful but strong, he was a master drummer and yes famously turned down Led Zeppelin. I was heartbroken when he died. RIP to the Octopus in the bathtub! 💚

B. J. Wilson was able to illustrate any composition with his drumming. He was an outstanding originator. Not only with Procol Harum - he also "illustrated" Joe Cocker's version of the BEATLES' "With a little help from my friends", and many other rock songs. He died damn early. But his inheritance is simply just GRAND! Thank you, Barrie - rest in peace!

B.J. also played on a few songs on the Lou Reed album Berlin. I bought that album just to hear B.J. play on those songs.

The best version of Conquistador that Gary Brooker and Procol Harum ever performed, with all due respect to the live orchestra accompanyment with Procol Harum. Gary's singing and piano performance on it are superb, and the organist and guitar player provide great performances as well. Gary Brooker is and will be missed always, a fine man and dedicated musician.

Been listening to the drums on Bringing home the Bacon trying to figure out how to play it. Crazy cool drums on that, never heard some one ride a cowbell like that. Amazing drummer he definitely deserves more recognition. On the live version 1973 the drums are even harder, you can tell he's improvising and adding extra fills, total jazz chops. Not enough videos on this guy wish I could find out more about his drumming wish I could play as good as him R.I.P. B.J Wilson
