@LeKekLord it really wasn't bad it just wasn't simple. It was about social and political tension and issues. Some people get bored by that but the way they handled build up was very well done. Especially with the Qunari. The Mage vs Templar conflict could have used a bit more time in the final act though.

@@CC-of5xl it was repetitive, with the same issue of dumb Meredith being mulled over with no choices on the way to actually fix the issue. Your choices didn't matter because bioware lobotomized Anders into an idiot and railroaded the game into explosive ending no matter what you do.

@@wintertrooper7918 Quote from Schreier Book A game about the Inquisition and the large-scale political conflicts it solves across Thedas, where the PC was the Inquisitor, was originally the vision for ‘DA2′. Plans had to change when SW:TOR’s development kept stalling and slipping. Frustrated EA execs wanted a new product from BW to bolster quarterly sales targets, and decided that DA would have to fill the gap. BW agreed to deliver DA2 within 16 months. “Basically, DA2 exists to fill that hole. That was the inception. It was always intended to be a game made to fit in that” BW wanted to call it DA: Exodus, but EA’s marketing execs insisted on DA2, no matter what that name implied DAO’s scope (Origin stories, that amount of big areas, variables, reactivity) was just not doable in a year, even if everyone worked overtime. To solve this problem, BW shelved the Inquisition idea and made a risky call: DA2 would be set in one city over time, allowing locations to be recycled and months to be shaved off dev time. They also axed DAO features like customizing party members’ equipment. These were the best calls they were able to make on a tight line Many at BW are still proud of DA2. Those that worked on it grew closer from all being in it together In certain dark accounting corners of EA, despite fan response to DA2 and its lower sales compared to DAO, DA2 is considered a wild success By summer 2011 BW decided to cancel DA2′s expansion Exalted March in favor of a totally new game. They needed to get away from the stigma of DA2, reboot the franchise and show they could make triple-A quality good games.

this happens a lot with little indie projects, usually not so much big ones lol. i'm an amateur voice actress who works on little projects. like, i'm sure i've done some legit crappy VO that was indeed my fault...but also, you get some projects where they don't give you ANY context, or anyone's else's lines. or any idea of who the character is. so for example your lines could be, "Don't go that way!" and "I'm not sure you understand." sounds like simple enough lines to voice, right? you'd voice them like you were cross with the main character. but THEN you get sent the final product, and you realize it looks like you did a terrible job, because the character was supposed to be a sultry witch teasing the main character who was in their trap. so it was supposed to be more like "Don't go that way~ (poor thing~)" and you totally voiced it wrong. this doesn't happen terribly often because usually people...care about their project...but you'd be surprised how willing people are to throw money around in a mismanaged shitshow as well lol. if i think something is bad, i usually come up with an excuse to not have my real name attached to it.

My best example to pick is Lydia from Skyrim lmfao. I bet anything the actress received 0 direction because of the way she delivers "I am sworn to carry your burdens". I would expect her to say it all knight-like, but she makes it sound like she HATES carrying your things, it's fkn hilarious! "I am swooooorn to carry your burdens..."

One nice bit of customization would have been to give Odo a bit of an affectionate tone towards her for one of his lines. But it's a very good script with some great bits like Quark and Garak's lines in the mix, it makes all the difference in why I enjoy this one.

I go back and forth on whether this is my favorite Star Trek game. I love Elite Force, Klingon Academy and Bridge Commander, but playing a Dominion War era storyline in DS9 from multiple character perspectives was such a thrill. And while it emphasized action, there was a nice amount of problem solving too. It's such a shame Avery Brooks didn't do the voice for this (I think he only ever did a VO for Star Trek Legacy?) - even Terry Farrell is in it, and this would have been during or just after her departure from the show. Kira was my favorite POV character, I love her first special mission. Worf is damned hard to play as - a clever, if frustrating, way to create a Hard Mode. I no longer have a PC, but am sorely tempted to buy and configure one that could still play some of these wonderful oldies, and The Fallen I can't see getting a remaster. We didn't get a lot of great Star Trek games, but this was absolutely a gem.

Love Star Trek and have never played any of the games, can you tell me what this is played on? A console or PC? Is it available on a console if it is played on a PC? Any other older start trek games you'd recommend? Not modern Trek but TNG, DS9 or TOS era if possible, thanks.
@GamesforPirates4549 ай бұрын
This game is only playable on PCs sadly. The only other Trek games I played are Star Trek Online and Star Trek DS9 - Harbinger. Star Trek Online has some story missions with characters from each of the first three main shows, I enjoyed the Deep Space Nine missions because Aron Eisenberg (Nog) and Rene Auberjonois (Odo) as well as other actors from the show came back to voice their characters. Star Trek Online is available on consoles. The other game, Harbinger, was enjoyable because a lot of the main cast came back, it's a rough game though and it's only on PC.
