Just from hearing that, it sounds like you are being too rough on yourself about this project. I doubt that the teachers are going to think or recognize that you feel inadequate with this particular project. You did more than most people would do you made your daughter a costume. I hope that your daughter is happy that you chose to make her something and that she feels loved by your actions.
@ChezYarnАй бұрын
I meant more like, oh gosh she put Too Much into this random nursery rhyme day, I bet she needed to craft her feelings out, not that I felt like it wasn't good enough. But thank you!
@craftyfroggerАй бұрын
@ChezYarn It seems like this is one of those types of projects that can theoretically go in all sorts of directions and, for me, it makes more sense to keep it simple. Some people will get it and make the connection as to why the little emblems are there and what the schools spirit week day is. And there will be people that don't understand it. I feel like it's best for you and your daughter to take it in stride to move in a positive productive way.

The first weaving draft I worked from was a German Birdseye from the Marguerite Davison book. The stitches were elegant and I was able to thread it once and do multiple patterns with totally different results. I wove some samples and then warped it again about 18” across and wove hand towels. I highly recommend!!
