Plenty ways to get down there. I fish it over here by Sugarland. It's definitely a mission to get down there. Gotta do a little bit of hiking

Dude that made me hurt😮, that sucker had shoulders 😂. That’s the challenge of gar fishing , they have a bone all around so hooking them can be tricky. Due that area at night is really nice . Good video dude thanks for posting

When the hook doesn't come out I saw a trick of cutting your line and pulling hook out backwards making eye of hook go through and if that doesn't work keep bolt cutters on ya to cut barb off.

What park are you at. I’m in Cypress and only park we have is Goforth Park. Is large lake. But, haven’t ever caught anything. We have Cypress Creek in back of neighborhood. But, every shallow most of time. About same size as creek you’re fishing in. Tight lines.

This is in Rosenberg in a neighborhood. it's private property. But there's a bridge where you can park and fish the same creek. I used to live down the street from goforth.

Depends what species your targeting. For example if I'm fishing for blk drum weather doesn't really matters as long as you got fresh bait (blue crab). For specs I like when wind is calm and the weather starts to get warm. What are you trying to target?
