10r80 won't break any hard parts because it slips the clutches. 6r80 doesn't slip so, it will break parts at high horsepower levels. However, if you replace those parts with billet upgrades, I think the 6r80 is better and definitely stronger.

Is the Mustang engines oil pump belt driven as well or with gears?⚙️

My blown 6.2 l gen 1 isn’t much behind the new R I picked up. I have no idea why you think a blown 6.2 is a bit of a ‘turd’. Im pushing 12 psi on 91 octane tune with my gen 1 and before the R it was top dog.

My question is…longevity following the manufacturer recommendations for maintenance, which of these engines will give the longer service life without major maintenance issues?

Just get the supertech for $3 and change your oil every 5k. The performance between all of these filters is so microscopically negligible that they are basically the same.

The FRAM Synthetic Endurance (the newest one) looks like the FL2087. Its got that white synthetic media (not cellulose), and the plastic bottom and top. It also has the mesh backing. Its only $12.97. Is ford just overcharging for the 2087?

So much for the Glorified Mustang. Oh yeah, I always poked fun at them. Camaro is gone, a thing of the past. Pintoswere cool little puts for youngsters. I fell in love with this puny little lightweight 4 banger turbo Mustang. It is what a Mustang (horse) should be. Small, light, nimble, quick, not loud, pretty, and lovable. Just like the horse it's named after. And not some humongous Clydesdale. This new Mustang is the future of street rods. Kicked butt when it first came out, kicks butt now. I want the new molted red, with red interior.

Yeah great move Ford belt driven oil pump on a work truck engine that needs durability and reliability .Also great move to add cylinder deactivation with no increase in displacement so the 10 speed tranny can shake an shudder even more because of no low end torque What coyote needs is 700 cc more so it has proper low end torque so you don’t have to rev the shiet out of it as it is the case now to get power .I believe Godzilla 7.3!uses some type of variable demand oil pump which is one of the reasons it’s eating lifters and camshafts this coming from Ford mechanics so what can go wrong with a lot more complex coyote engine ?.This new gen 4 engine will be a beauty for dealerships when the recalls start I wouldn’t bet on reliability for this generation regardless of the hype from Ford.

I await the aftermarket to create a multi-row chain drive for the oil pump to replace the stupid belt. The belt breaking isn't the issue, it's WHEN the belt starts to degrade and sheds bits of the belt into the oil, and that then blocks up the oil pump pickup and then destroys the engine.

Is it true that 5.7 Hemi and 5.0 Coyote use the same Oil Filter ? . Motorcraft and Ford Racing Oil filters used in Mustang GT can fit in a Challenger, and Mopar oil filters in challengers can fit in a Mustang GT ?
@SVTPerformanceАй бұрын
I'm not sure about the 5.7, but the 4.0 and 4.7 Jeep engines can take an FL-1A (space permitting on the application). The Coyote uses metric threaded filters, the FL-820S/FL-500 specifically.

If you ever do a follow up from this video, I would suggest to add the FL-313. It is probably the shortest of the FL-1A internal sizing. As for changing oil every 2,500 miles, I am glad I own older vehicles. I change the oil and filters at every 10,000 miles using the cheapest mineral oil that is on sale at that time. Over 200,000 miles on them with no burning, smoking or sludge. I enjoyed the video.
