I’m 21 these were my favorite comic books and I didn’t even read much but as an adult I’m committed to buying all the baby mouse and squish comics and rereading them. Something feels healthy about it lol.

Hi Mr. Sharpe. My favorite thing to do is read. I’m 73 yrs old now and I’m looking for some recommendations for my granddaughter who is 7 years and very bright. I had nuns for twelve years and they gifted me with curiosity, love of learning and the need to read. I would like my grandchild to find peace, consolation and joy in reading. Thank you in advance.

Mr. Sharpe, thank you for sharing another great book mail segment. I read two books from the On the Run series by Gordon Korman when I taught summer school in the past. He keeps his readers engaged. I'm glad that Linda Sue Park is releasing a new middle grade novel this fall.

Why can you not hand it to them? What are YOU not saying? That seems strange that you can't give them the book. Especially, if it isn't rel¡gious, isn't p0litical or about anything related to s€xuality or g€nder! As long as it is a neutral and a good book. Then just give it to them. My son is homeschooled but we check in with a teacher that just kind of is there to make sure he is actually being taught academics. She will mail him books that she thinks he'll like. I don't mind and enjoy the encouragement for him to read. He'll read the books over the summer and she will ask him some questions about how he enjoyed them. Just mail the book out. The worst that can happen is the books get sent back.

This sounds awesome! Can I ask what reading level (ish) this works be best geared toward? My 9yo is such a strong reader that it's becoming increasingly difficult to find books for her that are challenging, while still involving topics she's interested in (and she reads in Dutch *and* English!).

For the longest time, my 10 year old son's favorite series has been The Wild Robot. He's read all 3 books. He just finished reading "The Miscalculations of Lightening Girl" and he loved it a lot more than I expected. He said it was an easy 5 stars and said it's maybe even better than The Wild Robot, which I was really surprised to hear him say that.
